ASOS have dropped quite significantly in the past week for no particular reason and I view this as the perfect opportunity to invest as I can see them bouncing right back up to the 5.50p mark in the next 2-3 weeks. STRONG BUY!!

yup, ASC is having a cracking day and now +9.5% at 2740

'rare buying opportunity' is over, now chasing the market for others..
my input is done here, whoever got clue here and confirmed with a homework and got in there on confirmation and is in - well done, whoever was guessing and jumped in on an impulse- not bad not bad.

meanwhile, ASC is roaring ahead yet again, though sp is now fast approaching the sharply falling 25 dma line which, along with the continuing brexit uncertainty, may cause it to pause for thought

"We reinstate our Buy recommendation on ASOS (from Under Review) following December’s shock profit warning and share price fall. We believe ASOS did not react strongly enough to the heavy levels of discounting in the market around Black Friday. Early indications suggest trading levels have picked up into December’s clearance activity and we may well see February’s trading update confirm sales performance is above revised full year guidance of 15% Group revenue growth. As one of the leading global fashion websites, we view the current share price weakness as a rare buying opportunity."

although pleased with today's jump but can not find underlying reason.Anyone?

none, though i guess there is still an argument that the company is still field leader and therefore merits a better price

Good week -good ending at COB today -had some fun this week -and as they say "a giggle is better than a pringle".. (In case you do not know by now I do my homework on stocks to buy -without getting freaked out regardless as ALWAYS accompanied by a stop loss. Win some lose some but enjoy c'est la vie)

confess i no longer use stop loss, as they can be triggered by MM naughtiness or just a legit spike

I know but s/losses help me to relax and not having to worry about anything which is very true (other than my wife burning cash like BOO) whilst on my annual weekend holiday in Clacton on Sea.

ASOS plc ("the Company")



Notification of first half trading update



The next trading update to be given by ASOS will now be on Tuesday 19 March 2019 in place of the previously announced date of 15 February 2019. The new date will allow the Company to cover trading for the six months to 28 February 2019, instead of reporting on much shorter periods.



The Company's guidance for the full year remains unchanged.
