Referendum : to be in Europe or not to be ?, that is the question ! (REF)

required field - 03 Feb 2016 10:00

Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

VICTIM - 12 Apr 2016 16:29 - 596 of 12628

I'd just like to know Freda , do you have more money going out of your household than you have coming in . How long would you last if so .

So basically we the taxpayer are paying people to come hear and stay and the farmers get the profits but the taxpayer pays to keep them , and then buy the produce ."

My word.. I think he's got it -):

Vicky,

I am not advocating raising National debt without adequate reason, but if the debt "can be" used to stimulate the economy then "sometimes" it is sensible.

But debt has increased under the tories over the last 6 years.

They have had 6 years to remedy the situation.

Some of the debt was ongoing from the previous administration prior to the Labour period in government.

But the con party of to-day is utilising the "debt" as an excuse for its failing economic politically based policies and advantaging the already "wealthy" a the expense of the more inadequate in society.

I don't believe in waste or squandering of resources or short term policies for political or personal gain political or otherwise.

To me, the present government is managing the economy to enable it to attack the welfare and social system of the country for personal reasons.

But there are probably hidden consequences to decimating those services.

That is not to think that there are no reforms which should be made within the UK and EU.

In a dynamic organisations rules change according to circumstances.

But changes should evolve not occur as a result of revolution.

grannyboy - 12 Apr 2016 20:10 - 599 of 12628

Of course debt has increased, There's 12 BILLION pounds to
be borrowed for funding oversea's aid...Then there's all the
immigrants that needs benefits and housing, then there's the extra
burden on the NHS and Doctors surgeries, not forgetting the infrastructure...

Then of course there's 19.5 BILLION pounds a year to find for the privilege of
being a member of a dictatorship....

SO SORRY, AS WHEN A MEMBER OF THE LABOUR PARTY SAID WHEN THEY WERE FORCED OUT OF OFFICE.....THERE'S NO MONEY LEFT!!!!...

grannyboy - 12 Apr 2016 20:54 - 600 of 12628

The IMF has took it upon themselves to inform us that the world will
come to a standstill, and commerce will disintegrate if the UK were to leave
the EU.

Really when these organisations are given air time to vent their opinion
then there should be someone who has an alternate view sitting opposite
them to give a balanced view, and that would include the public being
informed that the present leaders of the IMF Christine Lagarde was a former
French minister and a europhile and the second in command is David Lipton
who used to be a special adviser in the White House..

Which seems coincidental that Obama is expected to have his penny's worth
when he arrives in europe next week, almost in a concerted ploy in pushing
the 'so called' threats of a LEAVE vote....

Its all highly speculative and fear driven, in their hopes that some of the scaremongering sticks...

Fred1new - 12 Apr 2016 22:18 - 601 of 12628

"THERE'S NO MONEY LEFT"

That was a copy of the note left by Reg Maudling to the labour chancellor in 1964 to the incoming government.(Check his history.)

At the time, it was treated as gallows humour, but later the "cons" couldn't appreciate the humour.

Suggest you check your history.

I think I would prefer to trust the opinion of IMF than that of the "little Englanders".

grannyboy - 12 Apr 2016 23:08 - 602 of 12628

You can always tell a recent addition to the 'British' way of life,
as in fred1's case his father being allowed to come to this country
after WW2 and dipping his wick in a naive young British lass and with
the resultant birth of an arrogant English hater, who is quick to
accuse anyone who is patriotic and does not want to be ruled by an
unelected entity is a little Englander...

It was only last year when foreign students at university was wanting
to have the statues of Cecil Rhodes torn from the ramparts
of their university....

grannyboy - 12 Apr 2016 23:20 - 603 of 12628

Hey thicko fred1..I've checked my history.....

Guess what???...YOU are one dopey fricker.....LMFAO!!!!

On leaving office in 2010 Liam Byrne left a note saying there was no money left..

VICTIM - 13 Apr 2016 09:11 - 607 of 12628

Exactly AND , after all these years you feel the need to reveal your parentage why .

Fred1new - 13 Apr 2016 09:22 - 608 of 12628

Remarks made by a little ?man.

-=-==

Reminds me of :

A Welshman, Scot and a Little Englander are walking, when they come across a lantern and a genie pops out and offers to grant them one wish each.

The Welshman says: “I am a sheep herder, like my dad before me. I want my country to be full of lovely sheep farms.” Whoosh, and so it was.

The Little Englander was amazed and asked: “I want a wall around England to keep those damned Scots and Welsh out.” Bang, there was a wall around England.

The Scot says: “Tell me more about this wall.”

The genie says: “It’s 200 feet high, 100 feet thick, it goes all around England, and nothing can get in or out.”

The Scot says: “Fill it with water.”

VICTIM - 13 Apr 2016 09:29 - 609 of 12628

As I said you live in fairy tale land , go to Disney World and live there .

VICTIM - 13 Apr 2016 09:34 - 610 of 12628

Anyway having read the stay in Government fodder cynic , what's your verdict on it or have I missed it .

jimmy b - 13 Apr 2016 09:44 - 611 of 12628

I today have mailed mine back to 10 Downing St ,with a note asking Cameron not to waste 9 million pounds.

MaxK - 13 Apr 2016 09:48 - 612 of 12628

Stop being tight little engulunders, £9 million is a drop in the ocean compared to the amounts being squandered by the €urobuns every day.

jimmy b - 13 Apr 2016 09:51 - 613 of 12628

Cameron promised us a vote , he said if he could not negotiate a better deal then we could vote OUT , he didn't he got nothing and now he's is going back on his word .
I don't like him ,he is weak ,i don't like the EU .
They would give him nothing so imagine what it will be like the day after we vote in ? which is why we must vote OUT

VICTIM - 13 Apr 2016 10:15 - 614 of 12628

On his performance so far can anyone believe what is written in said leaflet and come months or years later people will regret staying in because of lies .

Fred1new - 13 Apr 2016 10:20 - 615 of 12628

Sounds like a typical neo-con government!
