THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

bathroom?

VICTIM - 07 May 2015 16:09 - 59766 of 81564

I don't know why there isn't entertainment laid on at these polling stations you know . Max Bygones or someone . Just to bring the punters in , remember this was my idea .

Haystack - 07 May 2015 16:25 - 59767 of 81564

Stan
Do you mean immigrants or emmigrants?

VICTIM - 07 May 2015 16:37 - 59768 of 81564

Where's Fred on this big day .

cynic - 07 May 2015 16:40 - 59769 of 81564

queuing to vote!

jimmy b - 07 May 2015 16:40 - 59770 of 81564

He's going round in disguise voting Labour at every polling station .

MaxK - 07 May 2015 18:04 - 59771 of 81564

Who's usually the first to declare?

Dil - 07 May 2015 18:23 - 59772 of 81564

Just been told that the Conservatives would have won all the valley seats if they had only opened the polling stations while the Jeremy Kyle show was on.

Fred1new - 07 May 2015 18:28 - 59773 of 81564

Manuel,

I can well understand that you have no qualifications. It is often made apparent from your contributions.

I am glad you reminded me of true tory values of a party led by a failed PR man, and manage by a PR man who seems to be another failure.

A party and membership all dressed up with nowhere to go.

The tories are always more concerned with packaging rather than the content.

Flashy and nasty.

That is why they have failed the country.

-====--

By the way, I believe Ed's wife is a very successful barrister.

Stan - 07 May 2015 18:33 - 59774 of 81564

I think he means immigrant H/S, not only does Alf not have any quilifications but he can't even spell either... A right failure if ever there was one -):

Haystack - 07 May 2015 18:49 - 59775 of 81564

Hitler didn't have any qualifications and was an immigrant. It didn' seem to hold him back.

MaxK - 07 May 2015 19:14 - 59776 of 81564

lol Stan!

quilifications indeed :-)

cynic - 07 May 2015 20:07 - 59777 of 81564

EM's wife still needs to learn to dress and present herself if she is not going to look an embarrassment should she ever meet leaders of state or similar

MaxK - 07 May 2015 20:13 - 59778 of 81564

I'm sure there would be suitably quilified minders available to show her how to dress, and Millibandus himself on how to eat a bacon sarnie.

Haystack - 07 May 2015 20:15 - 59779 of 81564

She might as we'll be an embarrassment when she is on the world stage as it will match her husband. Who is Miliband going to pour coffee over if he gets elected?

MaxK - 07 May 2015 20:23 - 59780 of 81564

Fred1new - 07 May 2015 20:25 - 59781 of 81564

Manuel.

Using your own words, bollocks.

If she is content, so be it.

The embarrassment is your problem.

Angela Merkel is not a "snappy" dresser, but I would prefer an evening with her than a tory blue rinsed clothes horse.

The problem with the present tory party is its superficiality and artificiality.

A plastic period in its history.

But bring back rent mouth Boris and all you problems will be solved.

Haystack - 07 May 2015 20:27 - 59782 of 81564

People asked which leader they would like to have dinner with, voted overwhelmingly for Cameron. Miliband was the least popular.

Well...this is it guys and dolls.....big night in store....yawn !....is that the time ?.....going to try and wake up 3am......difficult.....but not impossible.....anyway ; just think of all those bribes going round at the moment .....politicians....famous people...journalists....they're all be at it......twisting ...turning....suitcases full of notes in plush hotels changing hands.....and yet....all seems normal.....required field how dare you suggest such things ?.....yes...well the trouble is that is probably at a guess what is happening....it all stinks....never mind....it can only get worse....question is : what the hell are these comedians getting into dirty politics for ?....funny they are on stage ; it would be wise not to interfere with what is basically : a very important decision for every UK individual...a rare moment of freedom to exert with a vote....rest of the time we are all put down and treated like dirt....on election day ; all the politburo guys are lovely people....everybody smiling....journalists as well...wonderful...except behind the scenes the murky dirty world is still there....enjoy the night everybody.....but perhaps vive the revolution...aye ...Pancho Villa lives on....
