Referendum : to be in Europe or not to be ?, that is the question ! (REF)

required field - 03 Feb 2016 10:00

Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

Do I see " Fred " in the push chair?

I did not like to be too negative towards you,
but went I see so many post vaguely reminiscent of dark ages,
I have reached one conclusion

dark thoughts = dark brains
>>>>>>> time to change

Do I see " Fred " in the push chair?

No, Fred's the grumpy mug.

Mentor,

Are you looking forward to a period of darkness in Europe?

Weather forecast isn't sunny!

mentor - 16 Dec 2016 11:21 - 5999 of 12628

Fred

are you talking about European business,
or Europe ( EEC - Common Market )?

re - darkness

I see more darkness on the future of EEC ( elections on the way on a few countries )
on the business side, there is a light at the end of the tunnel

How far the Brexit will go is still too early to predict
We are doing well on business here, so far better growth in the past and future than over there.

Dil - 30 Dec 2016 14:12 - 6000 of 12628

A vote for Brexit and we end the year at a new all time high on the FTSE100.

No need to thanks us Fred , your welcome :-)

Fred1new - 30 Dec 2016 16:52 - 6001 of 12628

You are dafter than I thought!

jimmy b - 30 Dec 2016 17:26 - 6002 of 12628

Trump wins and the DOW is near 20000 , it's a lefty nightmare :)

Chris Carson - 30 Dec 2016 17:48 - 6003 of 12628

Congratulations Freda! You have retained your title by a landslide .....

GOBSHITE OF THE YEAR (Recurring)! Never in doubt you miserable old git. :0)

Dil - 31 Dec 2016 09:58 - 6004 of 12628

No Fred the daft ones were the ones that believed Cammy , Osbourne , Obama , Governer of BofE , Labour Party etc who said the world would end the week after an out vote.

Best bit for me was Osbourne losing his job and the faces at the EU parliament when Farage gave them his I told you so speech.

Roll on 2017 , roll on Brexit , roll on Corbyn being ousted and roll on Swansea being relegated.

Have a good one all.

cynic - 01 Jan 2017 11:16 - 6005 of 12628

brexit in one form or another you will get, but neither completed in 2017 nor as hard-line as a number of you here would like

corbyn will not be ousted, though the labour party is likely to find itself more and more distanced from the general voting public, while the militant wing will whoop and cheer

swansea and football i care not a hoot about, though i note they are propping up the table and look unlikely to escape the drop

Fred1new - 01 Jan 2017 11:48 - 6006 of 12628

Manuel,

For those who can stand a reasonable appraisal of "Brexit" worth a look.

Corbyn, as you write, will not be ousted. Not sure about his public acclaim as Brexit begins to unravel.

But you always have Trump and Farage to ask for help and are under the guardianship of Cruella and her maybes.

cynic - 01 Jan 2017 13:25 - 6007 of 12628

if you wanted to have a cheery start to 2017, then i recommend you don't watch the above (unless you fancy agnes poirier)
...... however, it was certainly very interesting

Jean-Claude Juncker blocked EU curbs on tax avoidance, cables show
Leaked papers reveal that as Luxembourg’s PM, the European commission president obstructed the bloc’s tax reforms efforts

Dil,

A welcoming party for the New Year.

Dil - 03 Jan 2017 11:38 - 6010 of 12628

Hey cheer up Fred , new high's again on FTSE and the TUC coming out and saying its members voted for no freedom of movement so deliver on it.

Come and join us Fred you know you want to.

Fred1new - 03 Jan 2017 12:09 - 6011 of 12628

Dil,

I beginning to think of you as one of Nigel's lemmings.

I hope you have a parachute.

cynic - 03 Jan 2017 12:11 - 6012 of 12628

i must be in the wrong time warp or something, as i continue to see gloom ahead, though the markets tell me completely the opposite

hlyeo98 - 03 Jan 2017 12:17 - 6013 of 12628

There is no gloom at all, cynic. Cheer up! It's 2017.
President Trump will boost global economy.

cynic - 03 Jan 2017 12:29 - 6014 of 12628

i can't read you body language, so not sure whether you actually believe that

grannyboy - 03 Jan 2017 12:32 - 6015 of 12628

cynic "i must be in the wrong time warp or something"
