THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Haystack - 11 May 2015 12:08 - 60039 of 81564

Lord Sugar has left the Labour Party.

TANKER - 11 May 2015 12:34 - 60040 of 81564

lets face the facts which is fact the conservatives only won the election
because of the evil cow sturgeon . she was the best supporter to get the cons in to power .

now Cameron must ignore her . and let them have a vote to leave
we can not afford them

TANKER - 11 May 2015 12:36 - 60041 of 81564

the mirror man on the bbc tv now has just said the people of the uk should not have a vote on the eu .
he as good as said they are thick and stupid
well he is a fcuking dimwit shit

TANKER - 11 May 2015 12:38 - 60042 of 81564

the lab party now should not vote on any cuts the gov make
let the cuts happen . then their will be riots

aldwickk - 11 May 2015 13:08 - 60043 of 81564

What, up with IG index have they had a outage

cynic - 11 May 2015 17:19 - 60044 of 81564

it's certainly ok now, so i assume just a brief blip

cynic - 11 May 2015 17:23 - 60045 of 81564

welfare cuts
i fully understand and accept the need to make assorted and significant cuts, and i'm sure welfare in its various guises consumes a disproportionate amount of the exchequer's monies

however, i do have very real concerns that at least good proportion of the impending cuts will come from the very lowest sector of our society, and potentially unfairly so - and i don't mean just as perceived by the bleeding heart brigade

cynic - 11 May 2015 17:28 - 60046 of 81564

imposed acceptance quota of refugee immigrants
what a totally disgraceful abuse of undemocratic eu powers!
no wonder there is such a significant % of the population that wants out

however, there are a good number of countries other than uk who want to block this, so let's hope they collectively carry the day

Haystack - 11 May 2015 18:17 - 60047 of 81564

There are already several countries angry about this, chiefly Hungary. Apparently, we are the only country that can legally say no.

cynic - 11 May 2015 18:20 - 60048 of 81564

i think the hungarian gov't is pretty right wing so not surprised

Haystack - 11 May 2015 18:35 - 60049 of 81564

Ed Balls gets £88,000 in redundancy for losing his job as MP and Shadow Chancellor.

But fear not for Ed. Geoffrey Robinson, Labour MP for Coventry may fall on his sword and trigger a by election that Balls can stand for.

hilary - 11 May 2015 18:44 - 60050 of 81564

Hmmm. Putting Dick Ed II forward as a candidate would be a great way of turning a safe Labour seat into a marginal. :o)

RED FRED is awfully quiet, can't think why?

ExecLine - 11 May 2015 23:47 - 60053 of 81564

This should be interesting one to follow...

Our MP, Andrea Leadsom, has been promoted from a junior Treasury post to become Minister of State at the Department of Energy and Climate Change.

Why? Well, Andrea been a vocal critic of the HS2 rail project which is due to run through part of her South Northamptonshire constituency. This project is being spoken of as costing an absolute fortune and is of no use whatsoever for anyone living along its route. It is also particularly energy wasteful.

Hmmm? I wonder if she will try and get the project scrapped? She is well able enough to do just that.

ExecLine - 11 May 2015 23:52 - 60054 of 81564

Just done a post and can't see it.

This problem has been going on for a few weeks now.

I haven't seen any comments from Ian about sorting it out so I take it it is going to get left as is.

Pathetic or wot?

If you cannot see what you've posted, well, what is the point of wasting your time doing a post.

And so much too, for the Edit button, eh?
