Retire to sunny spain, with plenty of sun, sand and s....???

Oh yes, sangria....

soul traders - 17 Aug 2006 13:57 - 605 of 1049

Silvermede, to answer your question (finally!):

From the Finals, Nov 24 2005: In the Southern North Sea a well is expected to be drilled targeting the Monterey Gas Field in Block 49/8c. This is a proven gas field with 165 billion of cubic feet of gas (mean estimated reserves, pre-drilled) where the main expected risk is establishing commercial levels of gas flow.

BLR owns 15%.

soul traders - 17 Aug 2006 14:02 - 606 of 1049

While we're on it, I like the look of this as well (had more or less forgotten it was there!).

"In the Northern North Sea the
Company expects to participate in the drilling of the Huntington 1 well on a
moderate risk prospect. This proposed well, located in Block 22/14b, is
targeting multiple reservoir objectives and has the potential to contain 48
million barrels of oil (Mean estimated reserves, pre-drilled)."

for the avoidance of confusion, this is also net to BLR 15%

cynic - 17 Aug 2006 14:24 - 607 of 1049

and ELP had rights to a racing certainty in Jaguar and promptly drilled 3 dusters!

silvermede - 17 Aug 2006 14:32 - 608 of 1049

ST, very many thanks for your help in nailing down the Monterey Field. We watch and wait. :-)

skyhigh - 17 Aug 2006 15:45 - 609 of 1049

Well, surprise surprise! Bid gone down again ? what's going on .. as usual it's all over the place... why put it up in the morning only for it down again even lowere atthe end of the day ! it's totally pants!

skyhigh - 17 Aug 2006 15:47 - 610 of 1049

Somethings gone wrong !?

capetown - 17 Aug 2006 15:52 - 611 of 1049

skyhigh,i just tried to get some fill/kill@1p when spread was 40%,FAILED,am trying to average down from 1.25,so its not as bad as it may seem.

soul traders - 17 Aug 2006 17:47 - 612 of 1049

Cynic, you're right, but I would hope that the risk profile of BLR is a little better than ELP's was. We shall see - I'll either get richer or just more experienced!

PS - Great sparring with you - it never fails to enliven the day!

Skyhigh, the gremlins of volatility have come to mess with your head . . . .

cynic - 17 Aug 2006 18:24 - 613 of 1049

more like joshing that sparring i hope

soul traders - 17 Aug 2006 18:33 - 614 of 1049

moneyman - 18 Aug 2006 10:15 - 617 of 1049

Well whats happening here now then !!!!!!!!!!!!1

capetown - 18 Aug 2006 10:27 - 618 of 1049

LOOKS like they are playing with the spread again

Yesterday it was 40%,currently under 10%,good to see blue but dont be fooled, holding and hoping like everyone else in these.

Oily Jim - 18 Aug 2006 10:35 - 619 of 1049

Shares Magazine dated 17th August on page 20 are saying Black Rock Oil & Gas is a good buy.

It must be true then :-)

I topped up yesterday anyway so lets hope the news comes over the next few months.

georgetrio - 18 Aug 2006 10:36 - 620 of 1049

MOVINUP

in the case of volatile share, it is better to do your own homework, then you can decide for longterm, medium or short term. i am in for medium term for now but if the balance sheet gets stronger i will convert to longterm but volatile means any good news will send the share into high places in shorterm and any crazy new will send it for repair. however it is MOVINUP and the future looks bright and i can afford to miss the boat. best luck

soul traders - 18 Aug 2006 11:58 - 621 of 1049

Movinup, this stock is quite volatile, and the spread large, so IMO it tends to be a medium-term hold. Current price is cheap tho.
