Pursuit Dynamics - A British success story in the making? (PDX)

Andy - 31 Aug 2003 11:58

Pursuit Dynamics plc is a UK based research and development company, which was founded in 2000 to develop and commercialise a revolutionary pumping and propulsion technology. Pursuit Dynamics (symbol: PDX) was listed on the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange in May 2001.

PDX 25 Sonic.

The PDX Technology is a steam-based system that has applications in both pumping and marine propulsion. It is cheap to manufacture, extremely robust, contains no moving parts and is virtually impossible to block. Pursuit Dynamics owns 100% of the Intellectual Property Rights that surround the PDX Technology.

Pursuit Dynamics is now working towards the commercialisation of the technology it has developed.

Mention in today's shares mag, p37. Interesting suggestion that contract news may be imminent, according to an Investment Manager at Wilson King, who is quoted as saying:

"The companys expertise has caught
the attention of potential customers. Contract
negotiations can be time-consuming but it
looks as if there could be some news in
pipeline. The shares have also benefited from
the appointment of a new broker, Investec
Securities, which has communicated the story
to investors well. Hold."

how comes the price is dropping so much - is this a delayed reaction to other stocks falling too??

It's obvious to me that the company has signed some deals - why not tell the market??

I really think this co has the potential for great success. It is just a shame a lack of newsflow is denting the sp at the mo.

Andy, you still holding??

Andy - 28 Apr 2005 22:47 - 609 of 1003

legend,

Not directly anymore, but my shareclub still holds PDX.

I think the recent shorting attack may still be underway, combined with a weak market, and total lack of newsflow and deals at PDX.

I will be back in when PDX actually announce a major deal.

Oakapples142 - 17 May 2005 14:22 - 610 of 1003

Here we go - Did you get back in Andy - I sold some and bought again in recent weeks. I am still anticipating this little gem getting to 4

oakapples,

No, but I'm pleased for all holders that are in, this has been a long toime coming, and they deserve their reward.

My shareclub still hold, so I have some that way, better then nothing.

This really is terrific news IMHO, not so much the value of the order, more the quality of the customer, and the credibility their purchase gives to the PDX product.

I expect they will be abl;e to utilise this news to aquiremore orders from the food processing industry now.

I think the PDX train just left the station.

Anybody know the results of the FireMist test on the US Navy ship Alabama?
Why's the sp going down?
I'm confused....

Andy - 19 May 2005 00:02 - 614 of 1003

Niels,

No they haven't announced that yet.

AIM stocks are taking a real pounding at the moment, hence today's fall.

NielsJensen - 19 May 2005 10:33 - 615 of 1003

Well, SEO is doing nicely :)

AdieH - 19 May 2005 10:56 - 616 of 1003

and aquilo up 24 odd percent today, oh happy days...

Andy - 24 May 2005 09:11 - 617 of 1003

Yet another deal!

No indication of value, but at least the PDX brand is now being sold into the market place, which is probably more important for the longer run.

"30% saving on energy costs" is probably the pertinent feature of the unit, and will hopefully help sell further units within the brewing industry.

Morning Andy - great news to wake up to - but why have the punters also not woken up - very low volumns for yet another deal so soon after Campbells Soup

Andy - 24 May 2005 10:18 - 619 of 1003

oakapples,

The whole AIM market is soft at the moment, and there's very little volume about in most stocks that I monitor, which is fairly normal for this time of year, "sell in May, buy in September" is the age old saying.

My take is that once again, there is an absence of any financial details to calculate the value of the deal. PDX would obviously say that is commercial confidentiality, and with good reason, but it doesn't help the investor.

Personally, it's good to see a couple of deals go through, and that has to be positive for PDX.

here's the announcement form the PDX website.

================================================================

Greene King Brewing Company Ltd licences a PDX 47

Pursuit Dynamics plc, the developer of the PDX innovative fluid processing technology, is pleased to announce that Greene King Brewing Company Ltd. a wholly owned subsidiary of Greene King plc has licensed a PDX-47 system for installation within the cleaning in place ('CIP') system at its Bury St Edmunds brewery.

Greene King undertook an evaluation of the energy savings that accrue from the PDX system over several weeks. Energy savings in excess of 30% compared to their existing CIP system were demonstrated.

Commenting on the announcement, John Heathcote, Chief Executive of Pursuit, said:

'I am delighted to announce this agreement. The evaluation work conducted by Greene King, and their subsequent adoption of the PDX 47 system, demonstrates the energy saving benefits of the PDX fluid processing technology in a simultaneous heating and pumping role, conducted with no moving parts. This has implications for our PDX technology in a number of other industries. In addition to the successful completion of the CIP application with Greene King, we are also currently evaluating the PDX technology in another major UK brewery for use in the area of wort-boiling and commercial mashing-in trials are planned for later this year.

Yes, finally good to see the co announce the deals that were no secret from the market some 5 months ago!!!! Perhaps they were only sampling at the christmas period with these?? who knows??

It would of course be ideal to see the value of the deals and how big the orders are, as always time will tell and these will be in the results.

If for example a coca cola global deal was announced then i think the sp would take off from there.

I'm not a holder but i sure for one will be watching closely.

Well done all holders for sitting with this. Hopefully your patience will be rewarded.

Andy - 24 May 2005 23:41 - 621 of 1003

legend,

Well not sure how you know this was known five months ago, I haven't heard about this before today.

And of course, not forgetting, Rooney Anand, the head of Greene King's Brewing Division is a non exec of PDX!

http://www.pursuitdynamics.com/board-members.php

Still, I'm sure he was brought onboard because he can see the potential here, and must have substantial contacts within the brewing industry, so should be good for PDX in the long run IMO.

legend290782 - 25 May 2005 13:12 - 622 of 1003

It was in guardian i think and over bbs.

It was rumoured cadbury's which never materialised.

I personally thought there were no contracts and that someone was ramping up the sp. But slowly and surely the contracts are be announced.

It was probably the non exec director being part of gk that started the rumour who knows.

Totally agree that he will have contacts..

Oakapples142 - 25 May 2005 13:29 - 623 of 1003

Contacts bring contracts so lets hope they also have someone on board who is a fire officer - that is the area I would like to also see take off.

Andy - 25 May 2005 13:45 - 624 of 1003

Oakapples,

They have, Paul Grimwood!

cavman2 - 25 May 2005 19:15 - 625 of 1003

The problem seems to be this share is fighting Cawkie and until he gets his fat backside off of it it will probably stay low.

legend290782 - 25 May 2005 23:13 - 626 of 1003

is he still short cavman?? i thought he left this a long time ago..
