Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

biggest bug of all - this site is not ainsoph-proof.

Kayak - 27 Jan 2003 07:52 - 611 of 7315

Toronto Composite index appears in Far East list on indices page. Toronto is in Canada.

rt - 27 Jan 2003 09:40 - 612 of 7315

Using XP Pro sp1.

Had to log in separately for stockwatch and bb this morning when using IE windows that were already open. (initially bb window showed me as not logged in, while stockwatch page showed me logged in.)

Is that as intended, or should it always be single login to the whole site?
Is there a difference in behaviour depending on how I start the multiple IE windows?

At least six of my alerts should have gone off today, starting at 8.00 am, but no emails as yet. Any suggestions Moneyam ?

Balthazar B - 27 Jan 2003 13:31 - 614 of 7315

Have just received my first alert, which should have gone off about four hours ago. And here comes another five.

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 27 Jan 2003 13:33 - 615 of 7315

Balthazar B,

I just restarted the alert server.

There appears to be a bug, we shall investigate...

Thanks tullettj

Are you having problems again today ? Should have had an alert at 13.15 but it had not arrived by 14.45.

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 28 Jan 2003 15:20 - 618 of 7315

Balthazar,

Yes, we are having problems :/

It also appears that some big web caches have cached the down page on our home page, this would explain why the site is so quiet today...

Can anyone confirm?

J.

Kayak - 28 Jan 2003 15:29 - 619 of 7315

No, because they think the site is down!

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 28 Jan 2003 15:46 - 620 of 7315

Hmm.

Have added all the correct cache headers to the downsite stuff, will have to wait for the caches to expire what they have at the moment. Damn.

:/

Alerts now working, thanks. I'm afraid the "cached the down page on our home page" stuff is beyond my limited tech' knowledge, so can't help on that one.

Every visit to the futures page causes a log out.

Tradesman - 29 Jan 2003 15:13 - 623 of 7315

I have mentioned this before but, when I try to access stockwatch it sets ie to crash and deposits a file on my desktop.

can we fix this???????????

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 29 Jan 2003 15:13 - 624 of 7315

Tradesman,

What version of IE are you using? What version of the VM are you using?

Thanks,

J.

Tradesman - 29 Jan 2003 18:13 - 625 of 7315

Tullet,

I am on windows Me, IE6 6.o.2800.1106.IS. I have been using the java applet enhancement as it usually is more stable.

Occassionaly in the last week it has worked though! I will check to see if the streaming affects it.

Tradesman - 29 Jan 2003 18:16 - 626 of 7315

I can see the stockwatch sheet now

I am using java console ver 1.4.1
