TULLOW OIL--stands for too low!! (TLW)

moneyplus - 14 Sep 2005 13:17

The CEO states Tullow sp is much too low and I bought in on the comments---todays results are excellent and I feel this one is being overlooked on here. check it out bargain hunters-I'd welcome some expert feedback!

Stop to entry for risk free trade.

cynic - 03 Feb 2015 15:25 - 617 of 906

very happy to see this as i am a holder, but PMO which i also hold, has done even better

either/or/both could possibly become t/o targets

Chris Carson - 03 Feb 2015 15:41 - 618 of 906

Never traded this cynic, so a wee bit nervous hence the caution. Full year results on 11th Feb so fingers crossed.

cynic - 03 Feb 2015 15:44 - 619 of 906

for sure they'll be shitty, but whether or not worse than expected remains to be seen

as the chart shows, this used to be a city darling and every well they drilled came up with a coconut (so to speak!), but it has had a very bad run of late

Chris Carson - 04 Feb 2015 09:03 - 620 of 906

Stopped out for nowt. Obvious profit taking across the board today. So back on watch list. As stated never traded this, will have to see how it develops. From a chart perspective if it can stay above 50DMA has a chance.

Chris Carson - 04 Feb 2015 13:06 - 621 of 906

Left a limit buy on the spreads @ 403p in case of another intraday bounce.

cynic - 04 Feb 2015 13:16 - 622 of 906

my view is a bit biased, but as a med/long-term hold i think both TLW and PMO heve little downside from the current levels - which will naturally be proved to be totally duff advice!

Chris Carson - 04 Feb 2015 13:25 - 623 of 906

Your probably right cynic. Be nice to catch a few spikes in either direction though.

WOW! this one is certainly volatile, if limit triggered gonna need nimble fingers, sqeeky bum time.

cynic - 05 Feb 2015 10:55 - 625 of 906

ranging between 380 and 401 isn't THAT volatile
however, i think oilies in general are dangerous places to try to trade at the moment

Chris Carson - 05 Feb 2015 11:04 - 626 of 906

Dangerous to me in one day cynic. Depends on your risk and size of bet as always.

jimmy b - 05 Feb 2015 11:06 - 627 of 906

I went long here at 618P this morning ,it's trading at nearly a year low ,i shall be out very quickly with a small profit hopefully .

cynic - 05 Feb 2015 11:06 - 628 of 906

i hold both TLW and PMO but not for trading

if i wanted an oily punt, i'ld go for AFR, but damned if i know at what price and in what direction to enter

jimmy b - 05 Feb 2015 11:07 - 629 of 906

If i wasn't such an idiot i would have posted the above on the GENEL thread :))

Chris Carson - 05 Feb 2015 15:25 - 630 of 906

Stop to entry for risk free trade.

Chris ,if oil drops and this is back in the 350/70 range i'd be inclined to dive in .

Chris Carson - 05 Feb 2015 18:59 - 632 of 906

OK Jimmy.

Chris Carson - 06 Feb 2015 08:53 - 633 of 906

Stop to 413.0 to lock in + 10

jimmy b - 06 Feb 2015 08:55 - 634 of 906

Oil on the run again this morning Chris ,your doing ok here :)

Chris Carson - 06 Feb 2015 09:00 - 635 of 906
