THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

fred - no just being realistic as other countries have also said about them: 'we do not want them to die but equally we do not want them over here' do you get it

britain has become the worlds dustbin - those who add value are leaving britain - those who add nothing are filling the country up - worse they have never paid any taxes or anything and yet they arrive and immediately take scarce housing and get paid for breaking the law - we do not know anything about these people and some have already murdered on the way over throwing whom they consider to be christians over board to their deaths
the uk is a small over populated island - we can not take anymore simple - and when you read the immigration figures that does not include all the children they bring with them
the uk infrastructure cannot take it and this is the reason why hospitals, nhs, housing and others are not coping

do your do gooding when they start living near you............

and i dont condemn them - just being honest and applying common sense something our leaders are too scared to do

or is being honest not a PC thing to do in your mind! not liberal are we...............

Something you might like to try in between your LLOY trades. Namely, making a hologram with your smart phone:

cynic - 03 Aug 2015 08:27 - 61800 of 81564

so fred, are you advocating total open-door policy?

MaxK - 03 Aug 2015 08:46 - 61801 of 81564

It's ok, Fred has it all under control..

cynic - 03 Aug 2015 09:10 - 61803 of 81564

i thought fred might like to answer for himself .... he's very adept at answering straight questions

Fred1new - 03 Aug 2015 09:12 - 61804 of 81564

As promised, the torrid government has sure got the problem under control.

Hear Captain Marvel has packed his cases and gone on holidays!

I suppose better than bedding down in the no 10 bunker or on the Thames Embankment!

cynic - 03 Aug 2015 09:30 - 61805 of 81564

are you not answering my very straightforward question fred?

lest you missed it ......
so fred, are you advocating total open-door policy?

jimmy b - 03 Aug 2015 09:31 - 61806 of 81564

MaxK i found both your above posts very depressing , this has gone mad now ,something drastic has to be done .

Fred1new - 03 Aug 2015 10:14 - 61807 of 81564

Manuel,

You are a big boy new, although with a lot less grey cells than average, or what you started off with.

But with your pedigree I am sure with a little effort and a lot of thought, (for yourself), you maybe able to answer your own questions for yourself.

You may not like the reflections or the answers.

But, of course, England is an island unto itself and is becoming more isolated internationally.

------

PS, I thought the government was responsible for protecting its own borders.

Fred1new - 03 Aug 2015 10:49 - 61808 of 81564

Manuel.

Ps.

At the moment, Cameron and crew are concentrating on the signs and symptoms of the "immigration" problem, and then like you giving knee jerk solutions and populist short term and short term solutions, which are not a long term solution.
It would be more sensible to analyse the cause or origins of the “problem” and then seek sensible solutions and accepting the cost of resolving the “INTERNATI ONAL” associated problems.

That does not mean ignoring the problems of the symptoms of the current problems and addressing them.

But it does mean accepting some of the costs of doing so.

Also, it needs an international support from many countries which Cameron for his strutting and blustering, is alienating more and more.

(The strutting is own ego and political needs)

I think the UK needs Calais more than the Europe needs Dover!

At the moment, some in the UK are happy to trade like pirates without accepting the results or responsibilities of doing so.

(Supply of arms, by UK and America.)
=-=-=-=-=

jimmy b - 03 Aug 2015 10:53 - 61809 of 81564

Fred you really do talk some rubbish

(England is an island unto itself and is becoming more isolated internationally.)

Why are we isolated ? i don't think so ,,

what should we do about the immigration problem , one idea is send large coaches to calais and ship them in every day in shifts ,then when the rest of Africa and Syria Etc Etc gets wind of it we should be able to get 5000 per day arriving .

Do you think it's right that they are tearing down fences at the tunnel every night and ruining British businesses ? They are doing untold damage to this country .
Max post above about them being taxied up to London and the North to stay in hotels beggers belief .

A tough solution now needs to be found .

Chris Carson - 03 Aug 2015 10:53 - 61810 of 81564

YAWN Fredie!! You will probably be dead by the time if ever your beloved Labour Party get back into power. Why don't you just chill and deal with it! LOL!!!!

Fred1new - 03 Aug 2015 11:16 - 61811 of 81564

JB.

Re-read what I typed.

I suppose you could emigrate to Somali and sunbathe in the sun!

Mind we could put machine guns on the border and shoot the buggers.

(Reminds me, of going to Yugoslavia by train and crossing the border into Austria and stopping at the border control and looking out through the windows and seeing machine guns pointing down the platform. (Going in and out.))

Manuel.

You will have to wait for legislation before as a landlord you become a vigilante.

jimmy b - 03 Aug 2015 11:24 - 61812 of 81564

Fred you would do better talking about your travels (you have obviously been to some interesting places) as have i in my lifetime .

Why don't we swap travel stories .

Fred1new - 03 Aug 2015 12:31 - 61813 of 81564

The bullets would probably start flying again!

cynic - 03 Aug 2015 13:23 - 61814 of 81564

as ever, fred evades the question entirely

i know already what I think, but FRED as always will never stand up and state what his own view actually is

so yet again .......
FRED - do you or do you not advocate an open-doors policy?

don't spout about what this gov't is or is not trying to do ...... WHAT IS YOUR PERSONAL OPINION ON OPEN-DOORS POLICY? ....... ARE YOU FOR IT OR AGAINST IT?

Fred1new - 03 Aug 2015 14:48 - 61815 of 81564

Simpy put for you, to close the "doors" in the way advocated by the looney rights wingers, neo-fascist and reactionaries of similar vein won't resolve the o.

It is a problem for Europe as a whole and the United Nations. Both "governing" bodies need reviewing of their constitution and powers.

Little Englanders will not solve the problem and the kickback in trade agreements from Cameron and crew maybe more substantial than the little england brigade think.

Instead of tapping out another questions sit in a dark room and try thinking for yourself.

cynic - 03 Aug 2015 15:37 - 61816 of 81564

what would you do TODAY?
leave the doors wide open?

cynic - 03 Aug 2015 16:01 - 61817 of 81564

so what do i think .....
if at all possible, i would bring forward and even toughen benefit restrictions on immigrants who (a) cannot prove they have a right to be here and (b) require any immigrant to have paid his national insurance etc for say at least a year, except for genuine medical emergency

i think legit immigrant relations should be strictly limited to the spouse and their direct children

i also do not think it right, if i have heard correctly, that anyone but anyone who finds himself homeless is entitled to a "home" thus jumping the queue of "our own" young families

i also do not think it is right that, again assuming i have heard correctly, any child on its own who manages to sneak in under the radar is entitled to all sorts of benefits up to the age of 25

i further think it wrong that there is a differentiation in these instances between a local council's responsibility and that of central gov't as that leads to a very obvious culture of buck passing
