THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

It is time there were a lot more controls on immigration in the UK itself : I would instigate strict identity controls at bank counters and at the post office, hospitals, and all public buildings : no deals, purchases, transactions without identity being shown first and scanned by an electronic detector.....Cameron has not done enough towards halting this illegal invasion to Great Britain ......many more id checks are required with deportation orders at the ready......this is a major failing for the conservatives....

Shoot on sight is clearly the answer.

cynic - 03 Aug 2015 20:19 - 61820 of 81564

especially anyone sneaking back from switzerland!

hilary - 03 Aug 2015 21:06 - 61821 of 81564

I doubt they'd let Fred into Switzerland for him to be able to sneak back. But hey, it's certainly an interesting concept.

EU pays jobless migrants to come to Britain

The UK has taken a third of the young migrants involved in the 'Your First EURES Job' programme, it has emerged

there's a rarity .... fred has managed to post an amusing cartoon

Fred1new - 04 Aug 2015 08:31 - 61825 of 81564

I thought you would like your portrait!

cynic - 04 Aug 2015 08:36 - 61826 of 81564

i don't mind the likeness, but prefer the sentiment
of course, it's little different from what was assuredly widespread in the 50s and probably 60s too

or the 30s.

Oak trees from little acorns especially when propagated by government propaganda and misinformation.

Fred1new - 04 Aug 2015 08:58 - 61830 of 81564

Perhaps, you recall.

Fred1new - 04 Aug 2015 08:58 - 61831 of 81564

By the way, is Osborne's selling off the "country's silver" trying to paper future holes in his "financial" policies?

Or goodies and payments for friends in "high" places?

cynic - 04 Aug 2015 09:05 - 61832 of 81564

certainly if you lived in thanet/medway and other areas that have been very badly affected by uncontrollod immigation, you might be inclined to temper your silliness, albeit that that is unlikely

It's getting desperate....

The only way to stop the Corbyn juggernaut is for Liz Kendall to pull out

Not only that, but Andy Burnham and Yvette Cooper need to get real about the threat they face - and unite against the hard Left

By Dan Hodges

5:35PM BST 03 Aug 2015

Jeremy Corbyn has stumbled. Or rather, he has been tripped up. The offending leg belonged to one of his own supporters, Dave Ward, the Communications Workers’ Union chief. As he was unveiling his union’s endorsement, Ward angrily proclaimed: “The grip of the Blairites and individuals like Peter Mandelson must now be loosened once and for all. There is a virus within the Labour party, and Jeremy Corbyn is the antidote.”

Purging the party of the undesirable elements who were responsible for Labour actually winning general elections is in an important part of the Corbynite project. But no one else is supposed to be in on the secret. Which is why a couple of days later the statement “Unity is our watchword” appeared emblazoned across Corbyn’s campaign website.

i'm voting for corbyn and nothing will budge me from that!
shame there isn't someone even further to the loony left for whom i could vote

Chris Carson - 04 Aug 2015 10:07 - 61835 of 81564

Only good thing about Andy Burnham is that he is an Evertonian. Corbyn is my vote to seal the deal that Labour will never get back into power. The only Ace in the pack for Labour is David Miliband making a sudden comeback the only guy with half a brain out of the lot of them. Fingers crossed that ship has well and truly sailed. LOL!!!

MaxK - 04 Aug 2015 10:12 - 61836 of 81564

I'm surprised they haven't fixed the lesser spotted millibandus up with a safe seat.

Easily done.

Re Labour I agree there Chris, with Corbyn taking them so far to the left, they will be in the wilderness for a long time which is not healthy politics, a creditable opposition is always required. Maybe UKIP will fill the void Labour leave. Re David Miliband that is something I alluded to here as well.
