Hello mbugger, I wish somthing would happen soon as I have held BLR for nearly a year & nothing has happened, I don't like to hang around that long when I could put my money to a better investment, if we get good news who knows how high this Will go... so I will hang on a little longer & hope. Regards goal.

Aldor3 - 25 May 2005 14:09 - 65 of 1049

Goal..I too have held these for over a year now i am a little dissapionted that they have not moved more, but feel sure that they will this year, have held a 3-4 hundred profit for so long and feel that i will get at least another nought or two on that.. Living in hope :-)))

Rutherford - 02 Jun 2005 20:09 - 68 of 1049

Could be another 2 weeks before news if the 30 days testing is taken to full 30 days. I think longer the better in this respect as if dry it would be plug and abandon! IMHO

goal - 02 Jun 2005 20:19 - 69 of 1049

Yes, I see what you are getting at...

sambal - 21 Jun 2005 09:59 - 72 of 1049

Wonder what Ivan B will have say at his presentation today at the Barbican about Colombia. That is my main concern for now - oil coming out of the hole!

shaunoneill - 21 Jun 2005 15:27 - 73 of 1049

very strange that the rns today has not pushed the price up, blr needs to find some oil very soon, long term holders will not be around for much longer.

sambal - 24 Jun 2005 14:22 - 74 of 1049

Hello Sambal, yes this report is a few days old & its looks very good to me, I've just came back from holiday & I am a bit behind on the news. The share price hasn't moved... which I find a little frustrating, (just have to look at NOP) maybe our turn next.

goal - 27 Jun 2005 11:23 - 78 of 1049

Black Rock Oil says Bukhara drilling confirms presence of oil
AFX

LONDON (AFX) - Black Rock Oil & Gas PLC said initial testing of the Bukhara 1 well in Colombia has confirmed the presence of an oil column and analysis indicates, as expected, that the oil is heavy and of a waxy nature.

Testing took longer than expected because of the nature of the oil trapped in this structure and unusually heavy rain.

Prior to re-entering Bukhara, the Operator Kappa Resources Colombia Ltd and Black Rock will enter an evaluation process of the results, the group said.

It is planned that the rig will drill the Arce3 step-out well, also located in the Las Quinchas block, while test results at Bukhara 1 are being evaluated.

Hi this is my first posting on BLR and its simply this.
How come a company like this which has just confimed oil in its drilling programme is around 1.5p and a company like Desire which hasent even seen any oil is around 35p???

Any ideas guys?

goal - 08 Jul 2005 15:24 - 81 of 1049

Hello sampson, I think it's because Desire have MktCap 57m & BLR have only MktCap 3.5m.Regards goal.
