I've never heard of them, but eco-friendly is a good position in the market, currently.
However housebuilders have been forced by the government to ensure all their new builds are carbon neutral over the next few years and the introduction of efficiency ratings in the Hips packs means that they will all be eco friendly before long, so the niche dissappears. IMO
Not doubting EFD quality or suitability as an investment as I don't know them, but be aware of the coming changes.

you are right about location Alan--I recently looked at a house in Polzeath Cornwall from the outside only-I hasten to add!! My dream location on the cliff and in need of renovation--offers over 1250000 and it was last on a bid os 1750000 with 3 bidders fighting between them!! now where are my seo and yoo shares when I need them?? ah well off to try to make another pound.....

Hi MP. TOM could be risky. They are already producing, which is good, but their share of turnover at the Flusche well is worth only about 125,000 per year.

The oil shale looks promising, but having watched Xtract Energy (XTR) for some time (which claims to be sitting on shale-bound oil reserves of 1.6 billion barrels, yet still finds itself to be the victim of a steadily-sinking SP), it seems to me that there is some way to go before the technology for producing oil from shale becomes commercially viable.

TOM's chart looks exciting though, but the downside could be swift and steep if they don't find much oil in the next round of drilling.

Still, WDIK - agree it's tempting to have a flutter on charts basis but I'm not all that liquid at the mo. Good luck, anyway!

Just read the 1st page of this thread Driver and I hope you were patient, or at least heeded your own advice, and bought some CCT shares.

thats a good point hewitt and I'll watch out for that but I reckon they may have built some invaluable expertise in the area already and have two more years to get even more. Early builders may look to EFD for advice or EFD may begin winning large eco-build contracts in the short term thus propelling them into becoming a big player in the long term! All IMO of course.

My son is a 27 yr old officer in the Army leaving in Nov--07 and wants to go into the City. He needs to find out more about specific areas such as broking or trading so he can target his job hunting efforts. Can anyone help a bright and ambitious young man with a shadow day or advice?

Have held SER for ages and now in profit - just. have no spare cash and would like to get a 2nd stock in uranium before missing the boat- assuming it isnt too late.[already hold THR-not their primary tgt but will be soon i am guessing]

Another retailer with a profit warning DEBENHAMS, I'm glad I didn't buy in.

WH Smiths (SMWH) due for a rise after improved results and announcement of a JV with Post Office???
