A yellow eye with an exclamation mark, Chocopops. I'm glad yours has disappeared, there's hope for me yet.

Told you yesterday I had connection probs with a chart programme whilst McAfee was updating? Still don't know if it was a coincidence, but that's when I noticed it.
Didn't get the connection back until I rebooted.

You must be logged into the computer as an Administrator, try installing the Netgear drivers before you plug the device in.

I want to upload a sreen grab to the web. How do I do this.

I've worked out how to upload pictures to photobucket but how do I get a screen grab in the first place into a jpeg format.

I am using alt printscreen to grab the screenshot which I can paste into Word or whatever. Then what - I get stuck.

Or is there a much better way of doing with some freeware ?

CC,

I've been using Ultrasnap for ages and it suits me.

All you need is Microsoft Photo Editor or Paint, which comes with XP and Vista. Paste your captured image into it and then save as a JPEG image.

If you want to do much to the image then the program that TP reommended would be better, as would most other image editors.

ah the wonders of microsoft.

Tried paint earlier but it won\'t let you right click and select paste.

Instead it\'s quite happy if you select edit, paste from the menu.

Cheers

It occurred to me today that it would be nice to have a picture of Dave in the thread header.
What do you think?

Optimist - 11 Nov 2007 16:31 - 6367 of 11003

Hi Martini

Long time since I've seen you on this thread. I'm happy to second your suggestion.

Anyone help with time syncro, please on Windows XP?
Have instructed it (in control panel, 'time & date') to auto time sync with both 'time.windows.com' & 'time.nist.gov', but it often comes back with 'an error occurred when.....etc.' even when I do it manually.
Does anyone know of any other time servers I can try & use or what the problem may be?
One thing I have thought of is that ZoneAlarm may be barring it from accessing the internet, as I am reasonably strict about what I allow access without asking. However, presumably it is a generic .exe file which is trying to access the net for the time, but I don't know which one & therefore may have inadvertently blocked it.

ThePublisher - 13 Nov 2007 17:18 - 6372 of 11003

Harry,

I've never tried the time syncro until I bought my Samsung Q1 Ultra last week.

Neither of those alternatives worked and at that stage I had no web blocker installed. (I have now, of course).

I assumed that both of those addresses were out of date.

EDIT. Neither work on this laptop either.

HARRYCAT, many time servers only allow connections from registered users. Also you should use a UK server because of the delay in connecting to foreign servers. The one I use, which I think is the closest open server, is ntp2a.mcc.ac.uk, based in Manchester. I don't know of a London one.

How do I import my Windows Address Book from Outlook Express into Outlook 2007?

I've tried the Microsoft website and they're no help at all!!!

Edit - Like the header post :-)
