Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

Several times I try to log on to the Warrants section and get a screen demanding I upgrade my subscription. This doesn't happen every time I go to Warrants. What the hey?...

chrispoote - 30 Jan 2003 19:31 - 637 of 7315

And why has every post I've made today got 'edit' beside it?

Howeller - 30 Jan 2003 20:27 - 638 of 7315

chrispoote
"edit" means that you can change or delete what you have written at any time.

Todays trades for NWF look extremely incomplete.

TomL - 31 Jan 2003 15:21 - 640 of 7315

Experiencing a number of problems with "Trades", as below:-

1. Cannot access directly...having to go via stockwatch, click on epic (eg "vod"), then click on "T";

2. vodafone trades data for on 29/01/2003 (sort: "earliest first")appears incomplete...does not return any data between circa 15.19 and 16.46hours. If it was a cache problem, then I would not expect to see any data after say 15.19 (using above example);

3. vodafone trades data for for 30/01/2003 (sort: "earliest first")...returns "no trades found".

4. vodafone trades data for today...31/01/2003 (sort: "earliest first")...returns data starting at 10.47!

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 31 Jan 2003 16:05 - 641 of 7315

TomL,

We had a problem with trades that was fixed at 10:47, systems are going in place to stop this happening in future...

We apologise for the inconvenience caused by this.

Apologies if these points are higher up the thread.

Using an 800x600 display there are many pages whose button bars disappear off the right hand side (Generally the header and other page content auto-adjust ok).

I also use higher resolution on another machine but I bet I'm not the only one who still uses steam age equipment. I hate having to horizontal scroll.

Also in the FAQ there is an answer about different levels of subscription with no link to any explanation of same.

TulletJ(MoneyAM)

Thanks for the feedback...no problem, trust you guys to fix problems anyway..so long as you get to know about them first!...:>)

Bullshare - 03 Feb 2003 20:13 - 647 of 7315

Chrisp[oote. Not sure why you are having problems with the warr4ants page, we will take a look. As for the edit button, every post should have it so you can go back and amend etc.

ChrisG and Toml: we are taking a look at the trades database.

Mr Ashley James - 03 Feb 2003 20:44 - 648 of 7315

Bullie,

One of the things bugging me is all these dumpy pump threads on PDX some pump for cleaning out dumps or something similar (;-o

Cheers

Andy - 04 Feb 2003 00:39 - 649 of 7315

Ashley,

Check out http://www.vnn.vn/446/2003/1/2877/

Even the Vietnamese have heard about PDX!

Shouldn't you be checking them out too?

Their technology really does look good, IMHO, and is worth a modest punt, at least, I would have thought.

Time Traveller - 04 Feb 2003 09:11 - 651 of 7315

I am having a problem this am in that I can login and go to the Traders Thread but when I try to open the Stockwatch ( either in a new window or on the same one) I get bounced back to the Login Screen. I have managed once to get through but can't now.

In essence, I can't view Stockwatch.

Can the tech guys help me??????????
TT

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 04 Feb 2003 10:04 - 652 of 7315

Time Traveller,

When the login page shows, does it actually say you are still logged in (via the grey strip?)

Time Traveller - 05 Feb 2003 13:19 - 654 of 7315

TulletJ,
Can't tell you now as that was yesterday and it is working today. At the time I was already logged in with a window with the Traders Thread showing. The new Stockwatch window was in a loop.
Sorry I can't be more helpful now.

adamh - 05 Feb 2003 18:18 - 655 of 7315

Just tried searching for a thread started by myself and got this errror.

BUT YOUR BIGGEST BUG IS......
I am trying to find out what services you offer at what price and the only clue I get is when I go to 'my account' upgrade subscription, there it tells me what I can pay but not what you will provide ( if anything ) in return ???? weird and some what dumb if you ask me

Its probably all my fault, you've no doubt got it hidden under a big button that says, HERE YOU ARE, THIS IS THE SERVICE WE ARE OFFFERING and its just my stupidity which is preventing me from seeing it, if this is the case could provide a link directly to the information for me. If it isn't my stupidity then maybe get your markets bods to cater for the cerebraly challenged like myself and make it a bit more obvious
Thank in advance
appologies for the tine of voice
