Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

Ian,

All appears to be working fine now.

Cheers Greek.

Ian

A while back you said your team would look into the possibility of changing Stockwatch so that the bid and offer prices retained the blue and red colours even after refreshing / revisiting the page during the day.

Have you been able to give this any further thought and if so, will you be making the changes and if so, when(ish)?

So many questions but my decision to change my level 2 provider to Moneyam is influenced by this.

Thanks

rmcook,

We have not taken a look yet, but I will keep you up to date should we be able to make the changes in the future. Sorry I cannot be more precise at this moment.

Kat,

sounds as though your machine is struggling to download the applet. You could try re installing java by clicking on the word Java above where the Stockwatch lists usually displays and then restarting again.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 27 Sep 2007 08:05 - 6408 of 7315

Chea,

I can see no problems here - can you tell me what is happening at your end?

Ian

Chea - 27 Sep 2007 08:08 - 6409 of 7315

Ian,

I seem to be getting almost exclusively the temp unavail - L2 and news.

Ian,

Thanks. That got it!

Is it advisable to always restart the browser as well as the L2 page (had omitted the former)?

Chea

IanT(MoneyAM) - 27 Sep 2007 08:18 - 6413 of 7315

Chea,

yes always best to close both - however, Alex actually also did a restart on the server that was causing the issue, which would have helped as well.

i believe worm/delf.eyr is being sent to my computer from your web site.

please assure me this is not the case. yesterday and today whilst i was on this site AVG picked up the threat.

Kayak - 27 Sep 2007 20:11 - 6416 of 7315

maddoctor, AVG is telling you that your PC is already infected with the virus, it will scan your system periodically to do so. It doesn't mean the virus is on a page you are looking at (unless it specifically tells you about the page of course).

You probably got it some time ago by running a program included as an email attachment or by downloading infected software from the web. In either case you would have had to accept the installation of software at the grey security screen.

There is some information on removal here: http://www.symantec.com/security_response/writeup.jsp?docid=2002-080314-3248-99&tabid=3. The name to remove in the registry keys could be different though - it seems to be a new variant of a virus.
