Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

You may have to put some more money in the meter. :-))

Bullshare - 01 Oct 2007 08:27 - 6453 of 7315

bout time you lot changed your data supplier. You'll remember not long back it took 3 weeks for the muppets to add LAND as a marketmaker. Amazing how other level 2 providers didn't seem to have a problem and added LAND immediately. MONEYAM very poor service these days and certainly wouldn't rec. Fortunately have back up with etrade.

sealed - 01 Oct 2007 08:30 - 6455 of 7315

Don't moneyam supply L2 to etrade?

IanT(MoneyAM) - 01 Oct 2007 08:30 - 6456 of 7315

We are waiting for an update from our suppliers over this and I will of course update you in due course,

Apologies for the inconvenience,

Ian

dave leach - 01 Oct 2007 08:41 - 6459 of 7315

waste of time this, wrapping for the day.

Bullshare - 01 Oct 2007 08:45 - 6460 of 7315

Comstock dont seem to know why they have this outage which does not help us or our customers, we are on to them constantly.

greekman - 01 Oct 2007 09:03 - 6461 of 7315

Been very patient, but I subscibed to L2 after a fiasco with another site, so patience wearing a bit thin. I apreciaste there will always be problems, but Moneyam should look to their supplier for compensation which should be passed onto their (moneyam's) customers as the way things are going next Monday we will be expecting more of the same. Moneyam's management, not their IT (who I am sure are also fed up with the situation) should be kicking their suppliers backsides.
Not happy.

ValueMax - 01 Oct 2007 09:06 - 6462 of 7315

What is the service level agreement between MoneyAM and Comstock?

Kyoto - 01 Oct 2007 09:06 - 6463 of 7315

If they don't know what's causing these regular outages, how do they know how to fix them?

This implies that there's some procedure they run through to solve the unknown issue every time - like restoring from a backup or switching to another system - so why does it take a highly variable amount of time on each occasion?

You can regard these as rhetorical questions as I'm long past the point of caring, but it sounds like an odd situation.

jennywren - 01 Oct 2007 09:12 - 6464 of 7315

What's more important is whether or not MoneyAm is providing the service that I (we) signed up for. Having to use ADVFN free service and getting knocked off every 10 seconds. Just great as signed up for a year. Lesson learnt!!

Bullshare - 01 Oct 2007 09:12 - 6465 of 7315

Greekman: We are kicking their arse, dont worry! We are as frustated as our customers on this one. It appears to be a network issue.

cyberraja - 01 Oct 2007 09:14 - 6466 of 7315

ADVN must be having a right good laugh. I am seriously thinking of moving over. ADVFN may charge more but when i was with them I never experienced outages in the 2 years i was with them. I certaintly cant say the same fo MoneyAM, and I have only been with them for around 6 months.

yeah right, the standard of your service has been little better than crap for 12 months now. Some arse kicking you've been doing. Time we all went to advfn i say. Vote with our feet. Will expect a refund for todays lost trading.
