Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

Don't moneyam supply L2 to etrade?

IanT(MoneyAM) - 01 Oct 2007 08:30 - 6456 of 7315

We are waiting for an update from our suppliers over this and I will of course update you in due course,

Apologies for the inconvenience,

Ian

Comstock dont seem to know why they have this outage which does not help us or our customers, we are on to them constantly.

greekman - 01 Oct 2007 09:03 - 6461 of 7315

Been very patient, but I subscibed to L2 after a fiasco with another site, so patience wearing a bit thin. I apreciaste there will always be problems, but Moneyam should look to their supplier for compensation which should be passed onto their (moneyam's) customers as the way things are going next Monday we will be expecting more of the same. Moneyam's management, not their IT (who I am sure are also fed up with the situation) should be kicking their suppliers backsides.
Not happy.

What is the service level agreement between MoneyAM and Comstock?

Kyoto - 01 Oct 2007 09:06 - 6463 of 7315

If they don't know what's causing these regular outages, how do they know how to fix them?

This implies that there's some procedure they run through to solve the unknown issue every time - like restoring from a backup or switching to another system - so why does it take a highly variable amount of time on each occasion?

You can regard these as rhetorical questions as I'm long past the point of caring, but it sounds like an odd situation.

What's more important is whether or not MoneyAm is providing the service that I (we) signed up for. Having to use ADVFN free service and getting knocked off every 10 seconds. Just great as signed up for a year. Lesson learnt!!

Bullshare - 01 Oct 2007 09:12 - 6465 of 7315

Greekman: We are kicking their arse, dont worry! We are as frustated as our customers on this one. It appears to be a network issue.

cyberraja - 01 Oct 2007 09:14 - 6466 of 7315

ADVN must be having a right good laugh. I am seriously thinking of moving over. ADVFN may charge more but when i was with them I never experienced outages in the 2 years i was with them. I certaintly cant say the same fo MoneyAM, and I have only been with them for around 6 months.

yeah right, the standard of your service has been little better than crap for 12 months now. Some arse kicking you've been doing. Time we all went to advfn i say. Vote with our feet. Will expect a refund for todays lost trading.

Seymour Clearly - 01 Oct 2007 09:17 - 6468 of 7315

The problem for me, apart from the loss of service, is that there was no response from MAM until 8.23. Maybe someone else is to blame, but what happened for the first half hour?

e t - 01 Oct 2007 09:18 - 6469 of 7315

Out of order! advfn is no match for moneyam and you know it! As for proquote - they get their service via Comstock too. No one likes it when things go belly-up but calm down. As soon as things can be fixed they will be. No-one can work miracles!

Snip - 01 Oct 2007 09:19 - 6470 of 7315

I just logged into advfn. Haven`t been to them for a good 2 years. Not bad at all at filling the gap for me this morning

cyberraja - 01 Oct 2007 09:22 - 6471 of 7315

ET

sorry..'no match' ? youre kidding right. If its no match, why did it take so long for Moneyam to add LAND as a market maker ? ADVFN added them almost instantly. Also why has it taken so long for Moneyam to add new 'nms' figure (still not happened)... yet ADVFN have it. Also, why is it Moneyam arent able to show the 3rd and 4th decimal figures (eg 0.xxxx) and only show 2 decimal figures (eg 0.00). Advfn can show these .

shall i go on ?

and its fact the advfn service hasnt had outages for yonks.

PW Carnell - 01 Oct 2007 09:23 - 6472 of 7315

Mams customer service is much better than advfns.

cyberraja - 01 Oct 2007 09:24 - 6473 of 7315

Mams that i agree BUT when i was with ADVN i never had to use ADVFN's customer service in the two years i was with them.

Snip - 01 Oct 2007 09:24 - 6474 of 7315

but advfn was b****y awful in the past and that`s why I moved to mam. Mam has given efficient service as far as I am concerned
