John Embry of Sprott asset

"We had already been hearing about discussions of...... a significant..... revaluation of gold
- thousands of dollars higher than where it is currently trading, and...
- this is coming from respectable people"

Must have missed this on the MSM whilst I was away

“I was absolutely shocked by the comments out of Russia last week
- from (Prime Minister Dimitry) Medvedev,
- where he advised all Russians to...... get their money out .......all Western banks
- because there was going to be a bail-in.

This isn’t some sort of crackpot saying this.
- We are talking about the Prime Minister of Russia.
I was astounded by that ominous warning.

First, it was JPM asking HSBC for assistance and getting a handout of
- over 6k ounces of gold.

The next day, following a shut out by HSBC,
- JPM had no choice but to go to the second largest vault,
- that of Scotia Mocatta and get
- more than triple times that, ......or just over 20k ounces.

Today, the Comex gold crunch has gotten so confusing, nothing short of a color-coded schematic can do it justice.

First, moments ago the Comex reported that JPM doubled down once more
- and received ......a third consecutive infusion
- of over 43K ounces from HSBC,

Just as we predicted last Thursday when we said, that "with HSBC moving 43.4K oz from Registered to Eligible, we would expect.......
- either another major Comex withdrawal in the next few days from HSBC,
- or this is merely HSBC making room...... for further gold "requests" by JPM."
(It was the latter to a tee).

However, what is most fascinating is that while HSBC could not say no to JPM's stern "requests", which also as predicted saw over 44K ounces of gold leave its warehouse forever in satisfaction of prior delivery demands, and in the process taking its eligible inventory to a record low of just 100k ounces,
- HSBC had to concurrently....... obtain a comparable infusion of gold
- from Scotia Mocatta,
which for the second day in a row has become the guardian angel of the Comex handing over........
- 20k ounces to JPM last week, and now 23k ounces to HSBC.

Finally adding to the confusion, all three major vaults proceeded
- to convert......... tens of thousands of ounces
- in and out of registered......... in a totally uncoordinated fashion,
(but at least this time there was no restocking of JPM eligible gold with Scotia registered).

And
The above chart only shows what happened in terms of.... intravault activity alone,
- where the only net exit of gold from the Comex took place at JPM.
Everything else was, well,......

- a "musical chairs" scramble to actually obtain the gold.

What is really going on behind the scenes, however, nobody knows.

Dange says....... "there's a huge run on physical now."

I'm sure many of us were thinking the same thing before the coin dropped.

"I didn't see the smack down coming when gold hit $1,900 and silver topped $46. How could I? It wasn't warranted. Nothing had changed, nothing important at least. QE was in full force; deficits were topping a trillion a year; America had become one giant welfare state; Bernanke was living up to his name of "Helicopter Ben;" The Chinese were starting to buy huge amounts of gold. How did I miss this large set back? Easy - it made no sense - and it was 100% orchestrated."

'But now bullion banks also have a problem: They tried to replenish their (physical gold) coffers during the massive manipulative selling that we’ve seen over the last few months in the paper market. Although they took the price down, most of the physical (gold) that was released by selling from ETFs and hedge funds was absorbed by Asia.'

'And the central planners (also) went to India and said, ‘Look, you’ve got to do something about all of this gold buying in India.’ So we’ve had ten different steps by the Indian government to try to curb demand — a 2% tax, a 4% tax, a 6% tax, an 8% tax, and a ruling that banks couldn’t lend money for people to buy gold.'...

'By undercutting normal gold lease rates, these super low interest rates have forced central banks to reduce their lease rates to nonsensical levels in order to prevent gold futures from going into overt backwardation. Recall that GOFO, the gold forward rate, is the interest rate for a given maturity less the lease rate for that maturity, and that a negative GOFO represents backwardation.'

'The bottom line is that there is a very serious shortage of physical gold, and as this becomes increasingly apparent to the rest of the world, this is likely to cause a tremendous amount of instability in the financial markets in the months ahead.'

Snurkle - cheers re update.

When so many things don't add up anymore, in such a highly and obviously co-ordinated top level manner, from the global "unified in step" central bank printing,
- to the actions of the senate, executive orders, and
- those Flea-ma & dept homeboy security....buying up all the a.mmo (including HollowPoints - banned under the GenevaConv)
- plus reports (copy emails) of them approaching emergency/survival food suppliers asking for....inventories and how much and how quickly they can ship
- it does make you wonder.

Spain is totally flat broke, insolvent,
- 36% under 25's unemployment & of all the eurozone's... total unemployed....Spain accounts for 30%
- having to resort to borrowing from its state pension and welfare fund
- which is invested 95% plus in ?....Spanish gov't bonds
- The US is totally fooked with the FEDy having to buy the majority of T-bond issues (one way or another), the charade of ever increasing debt ceilings, the 7th largest economy in the world verging on bankruptcy (California) - and major cities like Detroit defaulting completely, including payments to city pensioners.
- Greece needing another EU bailout....which will no doubt become a saver/depositor bail-in.

Yet all ticks quietly on (lull before - the storm....style)

As to "the storm" ....that's the question.

The seed vaults, the bunkers (especially the boyz biggies - constructed under the pretence of the cold war) - do seem to point to an expected...damn big storm.

Looking at history - even the biblical - the exodus, Noah's flood etc - there have been "damn big storms" in the past. People who have tried to establish dates....seem to conclude the likelihood of them being....cyclical.

Suppressed archaelogy would leave you in no doubt that there have been many more -advanced civilisations on the planet in the past than history teaches....and for a darn sight longer too.
(even in manstream there is no conclusion as what happened to the relatively recent in historical terms Aztecs, Inca's & Mayan's).

There are many examples of ancient underground constructions to hose large numbers of people that would have taken many, many years and immense untold man hours to contruct.

The crusades recovered much esoteric knowledge (no doubt housed in the VaricanVaults) - and the truly massive repository of ancient knowledge was burned at Alexandria for a reason. Even in WWII Hitler sent out missions to locate....ancient "knowledge" (very much along the lines of the film "raiders of the lost ark").

Looking at supposed - legends
- fire and brimstone raining down, gods hurling fireballs, gods firing lightening bolts, gods battling in the heavens
- I imagine they used terminology of the day - not able to use - comets/asteroids, coronal mass discharges, pole reversals etc.

All in all suggestive of....recurring (& regular ?) ...cycles

Even trying to be self cynical as to the plausability - of such a possible conclusion
(& ignoring,, exact,, cycles of the progression of the constellations, ..and regular as clockwork comets... such as Haleys Comet)

- Two common sense questions spring to mind

- Why did the ancients spend inordinate amounts of time and effort over multi generations accurately tabulating passage of time, and building stunningly huge constructions - to track progression of the constellations.

- Why have those with access to ancient knowledge in the vaults beneath Rome
- recently funded satellites & suddenly.... in a big way - got into the ground based telescope/observatory business.

We can of course only guess to the answers to those two questions - which are seemingly...connected....yet seperated by millenia

- but one guess in the "lull before the storm" as to the nature of "the storm" has a tendency to make all the things that - don't add up
- add up perfectly

IF,...that's the case, then.....as to a when ??
- the above dots & others do tend to point to...sooner, rather than...later.

Sahara
- I recently likened the evolution theory from the primordial soup
- as to..

- you throw all the parts of an alternator in a tumble drier....and let it tumble for.. a million years or so....and one day all the pieces just happen to come together...into a complete functional alternator
- then you do the same with the parts for...a starter motor
- when you have done the same for... all of the components for a car
- you then throw the whole lot of individual components - into a really big tumble drier (for... a few billion years... this time, ...so we can give it credible time for a good chance :o)
- and one day - out drives a complete...Audi A4.

(& thats giving the eveolution guys a head start - by putting "ready made parts" of an alternator etc into the tumbler.
Imagine ..as is closer to evolution theory... just starting trying for the completed alternator....starting only with tumbling bits of raw metals)

I had the chance to reconnect with a source
- in the bullion management business,
- whose operations deal on a direct basis with... the shipping desks at the GLD.
(While remaining unnamed at this time, it was a powerful conversation, and he was quite liberal in sharing thought).

http://bullmarketthinking.com/gld-is-collapsing-its-shares-and-that-gold-is-being-shipped-directly-to-asia/

Speaking to what his group
- is hearing from ......the main GLD custodian,
- he noted that,
- “GLD is collapsing in [terms of] the number of share issuance,
- and [is] being redeemed…
- we are hearing from my end…

- that the GLD main custodian...... has been collapsing it and redeeming it,
- and that gold.... is just being shipped..... via their shipping desk.... directly to Asia.”

Brilliant Gaz - You tickled me with that ever so eloquent yet devastatingly appropriate analogy of evolution.

Absolutely Spot On!!!

I used a similar scenario with a heating engineer whilst discussing his faith in evolution. Although he argued with me it was not a faith, I asked him where the proof was and he came out with multiple reasons why evolution happened but no proof. So I therefore made him realise that oit was a faith that he had without himself knowing. Such is the power of our education and programming. ;-/

Anyway the scenario I used was how he would react to stumbling across a fully complete and functioning domestic heating boiler in a field after being told it came into being by happenstance.... The look on his face was a picture.

Gaz - I noticed India has launched a home built aircraft carrier. The first to follow Britain, France, Russia and the United States to do so. Beating even China to do so.

Vikrant’s launch comes just two days after India announced that its first indigenously built nuclear submarine was ready for war trials.'

Sahara - indeed people do have unquestioning faith in what they are taught in school and college.
(The Tavispook Institute works wonders).

The Indian carrier looks a bit short in the take off dept. Maybe you line the carriers up, like running across li-lo's in a swimming pool to get airborne.
- And call me old fashioned but it is traditional to have somewhere for the captain to sit. I think sitting in the lowered stern end with his hand on the rudder is going to give a very restricted view of where the pointy end is going.

Maybe it did originally have a traditional elevated bridge in the middle for the captain, but they removed it, so the planes didn't have to slow down to go round it when taking off.

It really does look like someone sold them the plans... for the bow and stern,
- and the Indians didn't notice they were missing the 1/4 of a mile middle section.

When caution is thrown to the wind and the sheeple get heady & giddy
- they not only jump in with both feet into the TPTB share casino
- they borrow on margin too

What happened last time when borrowed margin money was this high
(The downward red spikes - denote amount of borrowed margin money)
- 2000 Tech Bubble Pop - 2007 everything fell off the cliff
- AFTER - the crashes the margin accounts (post the rush for the exits)...spike up into credit green
