Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

TT,

We are at a loss as to what is causing this for you I must admit. We have an ad for Barx, but that is not a pop up in anyway, it would seem that your browser for some reason potentially does not like it, but without looking at your machine, it is hard to tell what on your set up is causing this.

Level 2 and Charts have been crashing again this morning! Have to Refresh often - and even then it doesn't always work! Guess the site just can't cope with everyone hitting it at once from 08:00!

IanT(MoneyAM) - 08 Oct 2007 08:11 - 6573 of 7315

Toya,

Again please accept my apologies - we are working to put a fix in for this issue.

Ian,
Any chance of asking the people who supply your Individual Company News to filter out news from other countries that happen to have the same Company epics that are the same as the UK please?

EX. ABM today.

Stan,

Will take a look,

Thanks Ian it's just a general point realy.

Toya - 10 Oct 2007 07:49 - 6577 of 7315

Morning - and apologies for moaning so early in the day but I didn't get around to it last night when I noticed that, all of a sudden, my entire Watchlists are populated with thumping great green things flashing at me down the right-hand side.

I hope share.com are paying you handsomely but I find their form of advertising extremely distracting. I don't know if anyone else is bothered - but it's enough for me to consider looking elsewhere if this continues to hit me in the eyes!

Kayak - 10 Oct 2007 07:52 - 6578 of 7315

Maybe change them to Kayak green?

:-)

greekman - 10 Oct 2007 08:00 - 6579 of 7315

I completely agree with Toya. I appreciate that advertising helps pay the bills, but this is right in your face. Very off putting. I often have stockwatch as a running page and don't want this annoying flashing image. Please get rid of it or move it.
(if this is not the thread to moan about this, please state so I can e-mail moneyam with my views).
Thanks.

indushah - 10 Oct 2007 08:09 - 6580 of 7315

Agree with Toya & Greekman re these annoying & distracting green flashing ads.

hewittalan6 - 10 Oct 2007 08:12 - 6581 of 7315

I've just narrowed the stockwatch window so I can't see 'em..............

greekman - 10 Oct 2007 08:13 - 6582 of 7315

On consideration, I appreciate that this thread was probably not the correct one to use re the Advert complaint, so only adding this to request any other members that agree with Toya, Indushah and myself to E-Mail Moneyam as I have just done.
They may not appreciate how annoying this flash advert is, when you are watching the screen several hours per week.

morgan - 10 Oct 2007 08:14 - 6583 of 7315

Agree with flashing ads, very annoying, get rid of please!

jaybee - 10 Oct 2007 08:34 - 6584 of 7315

Green flashing buttons extremely annoying on Stockwatch. Please can they be removed.

NabCom - 10 Oct 2007 08:48 - 6585 of 7315

I hate them

If they have to be there, how about less intrusive and NOT ANIMATED

katcot - 10 Oct 2007 09:13 - 6586 of 7315

Those flashing lights are a pain in the posterior!

Please give us a choice of either removing them, moving them or/and stoping the flashing!

NabCom - 10 Oct 2007 09:28 - 6587 of 7315

One of the things that made me choose moneyam was the clean readable uncluttered design style, this completely ruins it.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 10 Oct 2007 09:57 - 6588 of 7315

Guys,

Thank you for your feedback.

This is part of a site wide campaign, however, although we will not be removing it, we will look at slowing the animation down.

Ian

greekman - 10 Oct 2007 10:21 - 6589 of 7315

Thanks Ian,

Don't know if a slow down will be sufficient to satisfy all, will have to wait and see.
IMHO it needs to be moved.
As previously suggested. All those who think it should be moved, please make your feelings known via E-Mail.
If you don't tell them your views, they won't know.

The Other Kevin - 10 Oct 2007 10:30 - 6590 of 7315

It's a health and safety issue and should come with a health warning. I blame the flashing green lights for triggering a sudden attack of scintillating scotoma.
