THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Norway voted against membership in referendums in 1972 and 1984. They entered into a free trade agreement. As a result they had to sign up to free movement of goods, capital, services, and people within the EU. The EU could not accept our rules without a treaty change in the EU. That would need a unanimous vote by all the countries, which is virtually impossible.

Conductors on Southern Rail have voted for strike action this morning, with the RMT union boasting that more than 70% of those balloted backed industrial action. What they didn’t mention in their press release was how many employees actually voted. Here is the breakdown:

Total Votes Cast – 255
Number Voting ‘YES’ -185
Number Voting ‘NO’ – 70

Just 185 people voted for strike action, affecting Southern Rail’s 447,000 passenger journeys per day…

Manuel,
,
Instead of shooting you mouth as per usual, check back and you will see thatrgiving voting rights to 16 and over has been discussed by Labour, Lib/Dem and others numerous times.

The argument is if you are old enough to pay tax, then you have a right to be involved on how it is used.

Why don't you join another idiot similar to yourself and squelch me.

PS.

Scotland allowed the vote in their recent referendum and I think in 4 years time when a General election is held, Labour and Lib/dems will remind the younger voters of the failings of the neo-fascists, which you seem to support.

But personally, if I had your support I would be worried.

Stan - 15 Dec 2015 15:58 - 66228 of 81564

Fred is the Pot and Stan is the kettle.

The 3 Trolls JB, Cynical, and Hazyone.

cynic - 15 Dec 2015 16:20 - 66232 of 81564

so fred, labour were in power for 10 years or more and with an overall majority
did they try to push through a bill to lower the voting age?
if not why not?

you may not have noticed but i don't and won't take instruction from you
and why should someone be classed an idiot just because he can no longer abide the sight of your repetitive party-political diatribes?

Stan - 15 Dec 2015 16:26 - 66233 of 81564

Talking of happy, here's one to cheer H/S up

2517GEORGE - 15 Dec 2015 16:28 - 66234 of 81564

Shirt doesn't fit and look at that collar, stands out a mile he was a beatnik.

Looks like JC has another fan -):

Haystack - 15 Dec 2015 16:31 - 66236 of 81564

Would still look like an idiot whatever he wore. How could Labour members pick someone with two A levels at grade E?

2517GEORGE - 15 Dec 2015 16:33 - 66237 of 81564

I'm sorry Stan I can't take to him or the company he keeps. I see him as a danger to the UK.
2517

Stan - 15 Dec 2015 16:34 - 66238 of 81564

Certainly got you right wing ranters worried.

Stan - 15 Dec 2015 16:35 - 66239 of 81564

A danger? don't make me laugh George

2517GEORGE - 15 Dec 2015 16:43 - 66240 of 81564

Stan I happen to believe we need the Trident deterrent but if it's never going to be used under any circumstances then it is not a deterrent, there's the danger. Hope you've not cracked your face laughing, you ought to try it more often.

Fred1new - 15 Dec 2015 16:44 - 66241 of 81564

251,

It isn't the glossy wrapping but the contents which counts.

The Bullingdon boys are all wrapping and no content.

However, look at what he actually is saying not what you are led by nose to believe by the neo-cons and the neo-fascists.

What surprises me how many refer to JC as a decent and honest man.

I can't see that being said of many tories in the present cabinet.

I will be interested in 6-12 months time to see what policies JC and his shadow cabinet are proposing.

=-=-=-=

Hays,

It more acceptable to look like an idiot than be one like yourself.

Get off to PHQ for another briefing and learning the mantras to recite.

Fred1new - 15 Dec 2015 16:46 - 66242 of 81564

What scenario is Trident preventing.

It is the blustering of a neo-con party and similar to Cameron's blustering negotiations in the EU.

I hope he takes his passport with him next time he visits .

Or perhaps, I would prefer him to spend a night or two in the jungle on the way home.
