Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).
Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.
cheers GF.

i did not exactly say that ....
what i wrote was that i believe the gangs were (a) organised by others and (b) it is ridiculous to suppose that all these non-aryans would go around waving asylum papers if not instructed to do so and (c) i still find it absolutely extraordinary that the police made no arrests at all
if you look back at my earlier posts (don't bother!) on germany's open door policy, you will note that i called it absolute lunacy
i have also consistently written that though i have much sympathy with genuine syrian and similar war refugees, i have none for the economic migrants

The whole point basically is that point , there were no arrests similar to Rotherham , because they feared they would be called rascists . They failed to carry out arrests on foreigners but would have made arrests if they were local in all probability . A very dangerous thing to do and wrong . I don't know why someone would organise this situation at all .

come come ..... the right wing could/would have seen it as a great opportunity to foment discontent .... however, i too am very concerned that there were no arrests .... this was nothing like Rotherham, but quite serious public disorder

bbc news
Police eventually evacuated the area because of the risk of injury from the fireworks.
But gangs of youths soon returned and carried out dozens of attacks over a number of hours with little apparent response from the local authorities until well after midnight.
Mr de Maiziere criticised police for allowing the attackers to return. The square was evacuated, he said, "and then later these events take place and they wait for complaints. The police shouldn't work like this".
