World cup 2010, What chances for the Home sides and Ireland !. (2010)

required field - 12 Oct 2008 18:43

Thought I'd start a football blog, we might keep this going until 2010.....England doing well....did not see the match or even the goals....I'd like Michael owen back in the squad though....and I think Peter Crouch would make a very good substitute...remember against Argentina in Geneva a few years ago....with Michael Owen and some very good movements on and off the ball...they caused havoc.....did see Scotland's missed chance....that could be very costly losing those 2 points !.

required field - 17 Oct 2008 08:40 - 67 of 1154

To aswer Hilary (blog 16) : the top 2 go through to the world cup finals...I would like to think that England if they beat the Ukraine at wembley next april will go through and possibly as group winners which would be good for seeding !, MU versus Celtic next week....that should revive the passions both sides of the border !,... by the way can't believe the number of blogs here ! thanks guys !.

Treblewide - 17 Oct 2008 09:23 - 68 of 1154

man u will horse celtic....this is the poorest celctic side for a couple of years...strachan plays with two wide men up front and two strikers which exposes his back 4...they miss a gold holding midfield player since Lennon retires...that is why they always ship goals.......

it could be worse they could have ashley cloe at full back

hilary - 17 Oct 2008 09:33 - 69 of 1154

You're just jealous that Ashley doesn't play for Caber Tossers United, Treble.

:o)

Thanks for that info, rf. So England are in the position that they can now afford a couple of slips and still qualify.

tabasco - 17 Oct 2008 09:43 - 70 of 1154

treblemouth.this is the poorest celctic side for a couple of yearsand they are top of the league.dont say a lot for the other crap!..and Dil I aint even going to go there!

Barry Town have been in the Champions League on a few occassions , played Aberdeen once in 1996 , drew 3-3 at Barry night before my second daughter was born.

And Celtic must be crap this season cos Cardiff City beat them in some pre season tournament final in Portugal.

Treblewide - 17 Oct 2008 10:38 - 74 of 1154

tabasco...they won the league the last coupld of years...but are worse this year....coem on keep up boy...they can be worse and still top of the league....like england scotland only has two potential winners of their top division...the richest clubs always rise to the top...it is no longer about number of supporters and history it is all about balance sheets

tabasco - 17 Oct 2008 10:44 - 75 of 1154

tabasco - 17 Oct 2008 10:55 - 77 of 1154

Trebcall me thick if you likebut? if Celtic are worse now than they have been over the last couple of yearssurely the teams under must have deteriorated at the same paceequalling a lower standard leaguemind you the league could hardly get worseso you must be right

Treblewide - 17 Oct 2008 11:07 - 78 of 1154

lol.... when was the last time you watched a scottish premier league game?

Joe Say - 18 Oct 2008 08:50 - 79 of 1154

Treble

As a Chelsea boy through and through, the idea that there are only two sides in this years race is laughable.

Form wise, Chels and Liverpool have both had good calendar 2008's, but who would rule the mancs or gooners out ?

Or did you have another 2 in mind ?

Treblewide - 18 Oct 2008 14:51 - 80 of 1154

the winner will be man u or chelsea yet again

tabasco - 19 Oct 2008 12:54 - 81 of 1154

Well, I can play in the centre, on the right and occasionally on the left side

The good news for Nigeria is that they're two-nil down very early in the game

England have the best fans in the world and Scotland's fans are second to none

Gazza :

I never make predictions, and I never will

I've had 14 bookings this season - 8 of which were my fault, but 7 of which were disputable
