Referendum : to be in Europe or not to be ?, that is the question ! (REF)

required field - 03 Feb 2016 10:00

Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

The apostrophe merely indicates some letters, spaces, whatever, are missing.

Check it up on t'Internet.

That's how you can tell the difference between its and it's.

eg. "It's Cynic's post what's not got its capital letters."

Different Place.

No wonder I couldn't find it when I was rowing.

I am often guilty of "lenition", as many other Welsh persons are, especially those of black origin.

Another incursion into gibraltAr waters. Spain playing silly buggers.

A Spanish patrol vessel has been accused of trespassing in Gibraltar’s waters just a day after Madrid called on Britain to calm down over growing tensions about the future of the territory.
The Infanta Cristina entered the territory’s waters at around lunchtime on Tuesday in Gibraltar's government said was an “illegal incursion”.
The Royal Navy's HMS Scimitar challenged the vessel and it left.

I hope they send one of the new aircraft carriers and nuclear subs to solve the problem.

That'll show "em" we mean business.

VICTIM - 04 Apr 2017 17:01 - 6718 of 12628

Personally I'd send hoards of teenage drunks over there generally abusing , spewing , annoying etc , then let our oldies take over apartments and hotels generally misbehaving , they won't know whats hit them . Look out Spain .

Thats sounds like a fairly typical weekend at Torremolinas Vic.

Of the two vessels above, the little boat is our Royal Navy vessel which is pictured chasing away the much larger armed Spanish Patrol ship out of the waters of Gibraltar.

Ship? Boat?

A boat does not have a ship on deck.
A ship does have a boat(s) on deck.

UKIP won't go to Gibraltar without a fight.

I drink homemade Ginger beer.

Ginger, brown sugar, yeast and water.

Far more enjoyable and cheap.

MaxK - 04 Apr 2017 23:23 - 6724 of 12628

Robbed from across the road..

cynic - 05 Apr 2017 07:48 - 6725 of 12628

that's a great cartoon, regardless of whether you agree with the sentiment

fred - surely the trouble with homemade ginger beer and similar is that you have to keep making it for otherwise the mother yeast dies? ....... or is that another bit of cynic crap?

VICTIM - 05 Apr 2017 08:08 - 6726 of 12628

Are you sure it's Ginger beer , I would have thought that he sucked a LEMON first thing every morning , just to set himself up for the day .

Fred1new - 05 Apr 2017 08:24 - 6727 of 12628

Manuel.

To be honest, I was leg pulling.

From memory, as a boy, I did make Ginger beer and kept it going for a month or two by using a couple of spoonfuls of the "old" brew.

In a way similar to making a sourdough starter which I sometimes use for making bread.

I keep it in the fridge, but my problem is remembering to wake it up a day before I want to use it.

cynic - 05 Apr 2017 09:28 - 6728 of 12628

i never made it, but there were plenty of anecdotal stories of bottles exploding everywhere ...... ditto making your own beer
