I deal with the Halifax share dealing & they don't have stop loss tools, about two year ago the Halifax said they were talking about having stop loss tool but nothing to date. I must change my broker.

You need to change urgently, stop losses are an important investment tool, unless you can view your shares on permanent basis then authomatic stop losses are a way to protect your investment funds....

Sorry to be off topic. AdieH, I have had no problems with the Halifax in fact they are very good, but when you cant get to a computer i:e holidays, you need a stop loss as you rightly say. Any recommendations?

Still manage a sideways glance at these...up 12% today on low volume today.

capetown - 22 Jul 2005 10:24 - 678 of 1253

Mr Mole,
Whoever bought these at .75 has made a handsome profif if they have sold already,i still think they could turn this around, what do you think?
Cheers,
Everytime i look at these ASHTEAD comes to mind and look how there share price came back from the brink.

Mr Mole - 22 Jul 2005 10:39 - 679 of 1253

I'm a wee bit worried abouth their debt/cash flow. I've only a relatively small holding of these, but I'd lose a bundle if I sold now (worth just about 25% percent of my original investment). Decision is...shall I hold out for a return to the giddy heights of 2p+++ or sell now and invest what's left in something that has a better chance of doubling/trebling in the next year or so. Can't make my mind up. Wonder if there are any investors out there who bought at 10p and still holding?

capetown - 22 Jul 2005 10:50 - 680 of 1253

Thats the name of the game,i would hold!!,i am down 50%,can you imagine if we had paid 10pence,or go back further and look at 60pence!

Mr Mole - 22 Jul 2005 11:04 - 681 of 1253

60p!!!!!! I'd be sobbing :(

azhar - 22 Jul 2005 16:26 - 682 of 1253

I bought in @11.3p and still holding averaged down to 9.3p. total holding 10k. :((

capetown - 22 Jul 2005 16:46 - 683 of 1253

AHZAR,ffor what its worth, hold on as i was in the same situation with ashtead shares at one time down 500%,i ended up making 17k.so HOLD on

capetown - 25 Jul 2005 10:45 - 684 of 1253

azhar - 25 Jul 2005 18:35 - 685 of 1253

capetown - 31 Jul 2005 13:37 - 689 of 1253

AZHAR,and all holders of IDD,there is a BUY rating on IDD if you go into the TDWATERHOUSE website and look up idd,its a recent rating which could be why we saw a good trading day for the shares last week, any thoughts

Mr Mole - 31 Jul 2005 14:08 - 690 of 1253
