THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

i think this will happen, but then of course it will be latched on and milked by DC on how uk can justify closing its own borders

The over 75's have been asked to give up their free licence.......It's unbelievable ???....I can't put in writing here the foul language I feel like using to describe the cheek...is it April 1st or what ?...the quicker they sell the BBC the better...need some new channels with real news and programs and not the nonsense news propaganda bollocks that the nation endures...

Moving children out of care in Kent to make way for potentially 3000 immigrant children.

Maybe the British kids could run away to London and find a Fagin .

I'm surprised the far right haven't gone out on a day out trip to the Calais jungle.....really...it just gets worse...

Stan - 26 Jan 2016 12:58 - 67342 of 81564

What? sell the BBC which is the envy of the World, don't be daft just fund it properly..you been drinking RF -):

Stan,....please don't make me laugh....

I don't agree in the tax payers having to pay for overpaid tv muppets....let advertising pay for the channels and if at all possible a non political news coverage not being manipulated and suppressed...(perhaps the latter too much to ask for)...

Stan - 26 Jan 2016 13:07 - 67345 of 81564

Parkinson sleazy? that just about sums up most of the "Con" artist executives over the years.. except that he messed up and was found out.

MaxK - 26 Jan 2016 13:11 - 67346 of 81564

iturama, I suspect it had something to do with this.

"A year after he was elevated to the Lords in 1992, Parkinson secured a Draconian injunction that meant no one could discuss Flora's life in public."

How does someone manage to get a blanket ban like this?

It's funny how the people who govern us don't set good examples....it will never change... will it....though people should respect ones privacy....the trouble is if you are a major politician : you are in the limelight...measuring a good balance between privacy and what the general public are entitled to know is difficult...

Stan - 26 Jan 2016 13:15 - 67349 of 81564

"I don't agree in the tax payers having to pay for over payed tv muppets" not in disagreement with that RF but the answer is certainly not to privatise it but just tackle the problem which Tory Blair and this rabble have failed to do.

required field - 26 Jan 2016 13:18 - 67351 of 81564

here we go again...politics again...it's not making money that's the problem...france has a similar problem with air france...pride of the nation but makes nothing but losses...and they just can't axe it...

iturama - 26 Jan 2016 13:23 - 67353 of 81564

I can think of a labour lord that was even more disgusting but was protected for many years. Never outed until he could no longer be prosecuted. Parkinson did nothing criminal that we know of. So it cuts both ways.

I believe the Lords shoud be totally overhauled. It is no more than an retirement home for redundant politicians. We dont need another 820 pensioners and bishops living off the fat of the land. 100 unelected wigs is more than enough. But how do you get the fat cats to legislate to reduce their numbers? That goes for the EU also where certain failed labour leaders in particular have done very well indeed. Better than working for a living.

Stan - 26 Jan 2016 13:24 - 67354 of 81564

"It's funny how the people who govern us don't set good examples....it will never change"

Nonsense we live in a democracy and if people like you and some others on here (+ others country wide of course) stop voting for the crooks then it will change, afraid you only have yourselves to blame.. glad I'm cheering you up RF -):

required field - 26 Jan 2016 13:31 - 67355 of 81564

A democracy where you musn't rock the boat Stan....anway....lots of people go clubbing in Ibiza....great stuff....how about Calais for a change....

Stan - 26 Jan 2016 13:33 - 67356 of 81564

Nothing to do with criminality, by the way "it" are you Brazilian?

Stan - 26 Jan 2016 13:35 - 67357 of 81564

"A democracy where you musn't rock the boat Stan" says who RF?
