Alan ..... Golden X where? ..... I see good support at 260, and exceptionally strong building at around 270, but why onwards and upwards from this level?

hewittalan6 - 02 Aug 2006 17:24 - 70 of 123

Just looking at the chart (and i aint a chartist), the 50dma and the 200dma are both on an uptrend. the 50dma is about to cross the 200dma, upwards. I am told this is a golden cross, when it happens (nest day or two).
Shoot it down. its just what chartists have told me.
Alan

cynic - 02 Aug 2006 17:28 - 71 of 123

yes they cross at about 260 and will again at about 270, but sp is now about 310 - i.e. wel;l above those support levels ..... I am not a chartist either, though I understand a smidge

hewittalan6 - 02 Aug 2006 17:32 - 72 of 123

I was given to believe that the price they cross at is irrelevant, it will signal the start of a bull run.
i am actually watching it closely because I am a little sceptical about charting and asked the question on another thread, where will the fuel for a continued rise come from?
Alan

cynic - 11 Aug 2006 09:55 - 73 of 123

Golden Cross .... this is formed when two up-trendindg major mdas cross each other ...... in this instance 50 and 200 mda at just below 270 ..... while this is a (very) bullish signal, the rpi needs to be taken into account ..... HYC at about 320 is technically quite strongly overbought, so on that basis, one should not be jumping in until rpi is more neutral.

hope that helps

hewittalan6 - 11 Aug 2006 15:34 - 74 of 123

More news today.
maybe that will provide the fuel.
Alan

cynic - 17 Aug 2006 08:30 - 75 of 123

Golden Cross ..... To continue ...... sp continues to hold very steady but RPI is still around 70 .... still too high imo to make it worthwhile jumping in - just yet!

hewittalan6 - 04 Sep 2006 16:13 - 76 of 123

Still going up!!

hewittalan6 - 28 Sep 2006 07:24 - 77 of 123

RNS this morning.........
Trading ahead of expectations and a pipeline of acquisitions they expect to make :-))))))

Placement to raise the money for said acquisitions :-(((((

hewittalan6 - 10 Nov 2006 14:42 - 78 of 123

Moving strongly today. I wonder if HYC are about to announce on of those acquisitions.

partridge - 27 Nov 2006 09:25 - 79 of 123

Excellent results today - where are you Alan?

hewittalan6 - 12 Dec 2006 17:30 - 80 of 123

I'm Here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Back at last and very happy with this one.
I will digest the results later over a small glass of lemonade.
Alan

hewittalan6 - 11 Jan 2007 09:31 - 81 of 123

Wonder if this will break through the 5 mark????

soul traders - 11 Jan 2007 09:48 - 82 of 123

Al,

One way of looking at it is that FY EPS is likely to be 25p (or more).

Equals PE 20 if SP = 500p.

Gives a PEG of 0.625 comparing full year with full year.

WDIK, but there could be some life in this stock yet. It's noticeable that volume is pretty low most of the time though.

Once again, you certainly made a great pick - I said that at 400p a few weeks ago and now look at it!!

soul traders - 11 Jan 2007 09:48 - 83 of 123

Seconds later: HYC Bid: 498p Offer: 507p Change: 12

cynic - 11 Jan 2007 09:55 - 84 of 123

quite right .... top class company ..... forgot to put them on my watch list and thus did not buy ...... pretty overbought at the moment, but very strong chart

Chart.aspx?Provider=EODIntra&Code=HYC&Si

red = 25 dma
green = 50 dma

hewittalan6 - 11 Jan 2007 18:10 - 85 of 123

Well it got through the 5 mark with a bit to spare.
Where next???
Alan

cynic - 11 Jan 2007 18:22 - 86 of 123

don't know, but just may be tempted in even at this seemingly inflated level as there looks to be momentum behind it (strong upward trend!!)

cynic - 13 Feb 2007 08:23 - 87 of 123

definitely time to start watching this one again ...... should be pretty good support imminently and rsi is now neutral to oversold having been o'bought for some considerable time

hewittalan6 - 30 Mar 2007 10:54 - 88 of 123

Nice update, looking forward to results and more M&A.

AWARD AND TRADING UPDATE

International Firm of the Year

Hyder Consulting, the international engineering design, advisory and specialist
management consultancy, is pleased to announce that it has recently been named
as 'International Firm of the Year' in the Consultants of the Year 2007 Awards
organised by the Association of Consulting Engineers and New Civil Engineer
magazine. Chief Executive, Tim Wade, commented: 'We're delighted to receive this
award in the face of strong competition. It's a great way to mark our 150th
anniversary and heritage of international projects.'

Results and Trading Update

The Company expects to announce results for the year ended 31 March 2007 on
Monday 11 June. Trading during the year taken as a whole has been a little ahead
of expectations. The Group has continued to make good progress in securing new
work with major projects secured in the second half year including:

Doha Convention Centre and Tower, Qatar - detailed design and construction
supervision

West Gate Freeway Alliance, Australia - design of improvements to M1 freeway

Brisbane Airport Link, Australia - patronage forecasts for A$4 billion toll
tunnel

N7 Nenagh to Limerick, Ireland - detailed design and supervision

Baker Street Station modernisation, UK - detailed design

The recent cash placing in October 2006 was undertaken to raise additional
finance for the Group's infill acquisition programme. We are actively
negotiating a number of potential acquisitions and the Directors hope to
complete certain of these transactions in the near future.
