I dont know if Tata will find a buyer for its steel plants in the UK but, if not, I believe the plants should be renationalised for a period and the tariffs on Chinese imports increased. Compensation for Tata should be set at a £1.
At present, the import dues are set by the EU at 24% while the US taxes at over 200%. I would rather see Chinese plants closing than Port Talbot. Once those blast furnaces shut down, that will be it.

China's GDP may not be running at 7%, but at around 6% that's not to be sniffed at, and a lot of countries would be over the moon to be having that kind of growth...

But its still growth, take in last years of around the 6.8% mark and the previous 7%+, and over 10 years compounded, thats decent growth...
