Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).
Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.
cheers GF.

"in" will win because fear of what "out" may bring will outweigh the relative certainty of the unchangeable crap already in place
---------
cynic the real danger is staying in ,we have a chance to save the UK ,i hope the British people are not that stupid to stay in through fear .
Also i think we may have a shock on the day it could swing heavily one way or the other

I can only deal with fact C. Cameron has been aggressive in his defence of the EU from the get go. Or rather defence of a "reformed europe" whatever that is.
If I receive leaflets from the out lobby, I will probably recycle them. I am not a complete rebel...

The only fear that should be promoted, is that if there is a remain vote then, just like the eu masters in Brussels have stated they're are already planning to get rid of the Dublin agreement and SHARE out the millions of immigrants that is flooding into Europe..Someones going to have to pay for ALL these immigrants, that means raising taxes..Which will be put on food and childrens clothes.
As to these J P Morgans/ Goldmansacks of this world spout the pitfalls of leaving the eu, what they don't tell you is that they receive money from Brussels, so are in hock to them...Just like i've stated before on those who have worked for the eu and receive a pension with the threat that if they criticise the european project they'l lose their pensions..

It is a good idea that the government is sending a leaflet to put its side of the case. It is exactly what Wilson did in the last referendum. You could hardly expect the government to do nothing to communicate the official position,

I suppose some of the immigrants might get "jobs" (not those intended for the old boys) and add to GDP of the UK and EU.

Post 69767,
Have a feeling it is political self-interest on the cabal in No 10.
The danger is that said propaganda can be extended to the needs of the incumbent political party at General election.
The creeping use of funds by the present political mob to distort previous elections has already occurred.

Vicky,
No, I was looking for something small enough to represent you.

JB,
While we look at dodgy politicians and businessmen avoiding paying tax, I think it would be sensible to see how much tax avoidance applies to the Queen and Royal family.
I think it would be a good time to have a review of their finances.

But is the Queen one of your pinups, or is Theresa May more to your taste?

what a bunch of tossers some of you are .......
you are now fixated with tax AVOIDANCE and equating it to tax EVASION, when they have little if anything to do with each other, except where the avoidance is "aggressive"
however,
i don't hear any of you complaining about tax allowances for pension contributions or isas, or paying zero tax on 25% of drawdown from your pension pot, or passing money or property to your children 7 years before you die to avoid iht, or gifting, or even tax-free benefits of one kind or another .....
is that because you feel you have a RIGHT to such AVOIDANCE?

When the Electorial Commission decide who will represent either the remain side or the leave side, then they each get an allocation of money for electioneeing...
What has happened now from the snake oil salesman is, they're spending taxpayers money on government propaganda, simply because its looking like a LEAVE vote is a very real possibility...

Cynic,
Are you attempting to defend your own position on "avoidance" or "other"?

The remarks I made to Queen's and Royal families avoidance could be labelled special "allowances" which are granted to them.
Of course others think they are entitled to similar.

The effort of answering your previous question would take more effort than I wish to expend on you.
But my "feelings" are there is need of a review of taxation in general and the reasons for such in a developed society.
But, probably you are too insular to see further than your what is of immediate advantage to yourself.
Grab and hoard comes to mind.
