THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Wrong again "there not all the same".. just the one's that you lot seem to vote for time and time again.

iturama - 08 Apr 2016 10:06 - 69832 of 81564

Since 1960:
Conservative Time!

Labour Time!
Conservative Time!
Labour Time!
Labour Time!
Conservative Time!
Conservative Time!
Conservative Time!
Conservative Time!
Labour Time!
Labour Time!
Cons/Lib Dem Time!

You lot are responsible for doing this time and time again....

jimmy b - 08 Apr 2016 10:18 - 69833 of 81564

Stan and Fred's HERO !!

jimmy b - 08 Apr 2016 10:21 - 69834 of 81564

I'm surprised you lot are falling out about the fact, that 'all politicians are the same and just 'in it' for their own ends'.
-----------
Exec your bang on ,they are mostly all the same, except Stan and Fred love Labour so much they can do no wrong ,imagine voting for the murderer above.

grannyboy - 08 Apr 2016 10:24 - 69835 of 81564

"All politicians are the same"

Yes but some have a lot more morals then others...

Like those who have put the country BEFORE their careers, who stand up for their principles..

Not many from the Labour party have gone against the leadership line of being PRO-EU sycophants, those putting their careers first no matter what, they're not bothered about the indigenous workers and the effect of unlimited immigration...You expect the LibDems to be fawning europhiles thats a given, its in their make-up...

cynic - 08 Apr 2016 10:29 - 69836 of 81564

to my surprise, RMT is recommending its members vote "out"

VICTIM - 08 Apr 2016 10:36 - 69837 of 81564

Why should any Union want to stay in EU , surely any foreign workers coming here wouldn't be interested in joining a union , excuse my ignorance .

cynic - 08 Apr 2016 10:42 - 69838 of 81564

from today's FT
RMT union calls for members to vote for Brexit
Transport body says EU threatens collective bargaining and workers’ rights

iturama - 08 Apr 2016 10:48 - 69839 of 81564

Well the EU is dominated by socialists, ex communists. Do as I say not as I do.

Fred1new - 08 Apr 2016 11:34 - 69840 of 81564

Equivalent to saying the present tory and UKIP parties are a bunch of neofascists.

-==-==

I see what you mean.

VICTIM - 08 Apr 2016 12:18 - 69841 of 81564

Blimey I've just seen Ernie Els score 10 on the first at Masters , quite incredible .

cynic - 08 Apr 2016 12:19 - 69842 of 81564

it turned out to be ONLY 9 as they thought he'd taken 7 putts but actually it was only 6 - and from only 4 feet
poor bastard .... he did well to pretty much hold it together for the rest of the round

Haystack - 08 Apr 2016 12:21 - 69843 of 81564

There are three new EU referendum polls. ICM and YouGov have both published polls conducted online and showing one point leads for REMAIN. ICM’s figures are REMAIN 44%, LEAVE 43%, DK 13%, YouGov’s are REMAN 39%, LEAVE 28%, DK/WNV 23%.
There was also new ORB telephone poll for the Telegraph. This is a little more interesting. This poll shows a seven point lead for REMAIN (REMAIN 51%, LEAVE 44%, DK 5%).

VICTIM - 08 Apr 2016 12:22 - 69844 of 81564

Even I could see the first putt was right lip before he hit it .

cynic - 08 Apr 2016 12:22 - 69845 of 81564

interesting sign of the times
we advertised in our local paper for a part-time bookkeeper+
flexible hours possible and decent conditions

we had 30 applicants, with none via agencies

though it was a pretty nice job in many ways, it is of concern just how many were looking for a new position of some kind

Fred1new - 08 Apr 2016 12:31 - 69846 of 81564

You mean employment figures are being manipulated or falsified.

Now who would be doing that?

cynic - 08 Apr 2016 12:35 - 69847 of 81564

neither of those
it was just interesting for the huge response came as something of a surprise
i suspect that the majority of applicants were "women of a certain age", but certainly not all

Fred1new - 08 Apr 2016 12:37 - 69848 of 81564

Did you put your picture in your advert?

jimmy b - 08 Apr 2016 12:38 - 69849 of 81564

Be careful cynic it could be Fred and Stan trying to infiltrate your office.

Fred1new - 08 Apr 2016 12:40 - 69850 of 81564

JB is showing his true talent once again.

Must be members of his family.
