ASOS have dropped quite significantly in the past week for no particular reason and I view this as the perfect opportunity to invest as I can see them bouncing right back up to the 5.50p mark in the next 2-3 weeks. STRONG BUY!!

Excellent interims from MPH. Price has risen a couple of p but you only need to look at the Marchpole site to see the excitement of the holders. Earnings of 1.4p per share in first half and a dividend to boot. Looks as though it will ramp up, so a BUY at current level. Good news also from SEY which has cleared its funding requirement for 41% of the equity which underpins the current price and allows the share to progress. Still waiting for the big one, PET: it had been rumoured that there would be an RNS today. We should all have a stake!

Sorry, that was "150K to invest"! 150 is to spend! Thanks for post. I'm an exponential man myself but haven't seen it on a graph - have you access to one for ASC? Freed up a few bob yesterday at 79.18p, primarily to pay the balance of fee for a condo at Whistler, Canada for Xmas and New Year - good way to use investing profits taking three daughters plus 1 hub. skiing. Will also dip the toes in the CFD waters with blue index: what happens to the toes if they turn out to be blue sharks?

Your Xmas festivities sound fine but watch the altitude! Can be intoxicating, and that is before you start the spirit consumption! As for Blue Index, if you only lose your toes you should still be able to walk....good luck. But if you are lucky then you could probably stay at Whistler for a month or more!!

Good morning everyone...been away for a few days celebrating (or commiserating )hitting the big 40, so lots of pearls of wisdom to catch up on.Ghostsurf finally arrived this morning so I'll let you know how I get on with logging on to ASOS. By the way, didn't one of us say a while back that Amazon were recommending asos,or did I dream that, because nothing has arrived with my last two parcels...except for the delivery note.

Here's celebrating life that begins at ...! Congratulations. 40% probability that PET has won this competition by the weekend: Ramadan starts on Friday so they will get the announcement made by then if at all possible. Got carried away myself and (blush! blush!) invested the funds in PET that I had released from ASC for my Whistler Xmas holiday, and to buy CFD's in ASC. Absolute lack of self-control. Seduced by thoughts of loads-o-money and how few shares I had compared with you and the others. Have had to sell some more ASC, but got 81.25p, sensing a rise but perhaps should have waited longer. I expect they are going towards the 85p I predicted for 10th November! Enjoy your new life with all that PET lolly to spend!

Eric ... I share and have probably surpassed your lack of self control as I have topped up (no 4) for what must be the absolutely last ever time before the result of these contracts is known. Re: GhostSurf, have you used it to erase all your Internet Cache and Files? Try the TracksCleaner icon and let it guide you through the actions. Please let me know how u get on.

Re ASOS, I must say it has just perked up mid-day, no doubt because the MM's read that Eric was forced into a SALE for all sorts of other gambles!

Can you explain what ghostsurf is, is it cleaning software for hard drive, deleting those dodgy sites we never go on?

AdieH: GhostSurf is a suite of s/w aimed at removing 'Spyware' and allowing you to surf the net without revealing your IP Address. It also has a number of other useful features, eg cleaning up internet rubbish as well as a Secure Vault for all those files you do not anybody else to view!!! Having said that there are a number of other s/w suites available, I just happen to use this one, and I like it.

See that you're a hero, even a legend, on your own BNH column after the share breaks 1. Kicking myself for not being in it but can't be everywhere. Will watch it though because your prediction of 1.50 seems reasonable - are you saying it won't double after all? Good for ASC to have some competition.

EWR, I think plenty more past 1.50, but when you buy at 61p you have to look at percentages and how much you have made. I am a pesimist I know, just like with this asc, when I sold thelot at 30-40...

There has been a bit of profit taking today and price down 7p. Not concerned at all. This BNH stock is a winner.

tbrooking: Are you Trevor, by any chance? you must always get asked that! He really is a great guy - just heard a true story about his concern for the disadvantaged. You are absolutely right, I misread the calendar, substituting November for October. Ramadan finishes this weekend with the Eid feast so that Monday could be PET's day!

Legend: BHP does rocket around on small volumes! That suggests opportunities ahead. No criticism for understating the potential. I will be watching your bb closely for future action.
