the aquisition of biotec was subject to shaeholder approval.i hold my seo shares in a nominee account. is that why i haven't had any further news through the post or are paper shareholders in the same position?

bhunt1910 - 12 Jul 2005 10:44 - 7171 of 27111

I am in same position as you Bos - and I have not heard anything either.

Doesn't it mean the approval of Biotec shareholders?

halfamil - 12 Jul 2005 10:50 - 7173 of 27111

And if so what's taking them so long?

Chiva20 - 12 Jul 2005 10:53 - 7174 of 27111

ta seq

Sequestor - 12 Jul 2005 10:55 - 7175 of 27111

Perhaps they don`t want the deal.

bhunt1910 - 12 Jul 2005 11:11 - 7176 of 27111

Perhaps due diligence holding them up - but I would be surprised!

Sequestor - 12 Jul 2005 11:17 - 7177 of 27111

well there goes 22p, 20p soon, and then DOWN.

proptrade - 12 Jul 2005 11:24 - 7178 of 27111

Seq. loving the commentary!

you are right, meanigful has many connotations but the reason i asked was to guage how serious you were about the bear and also if you would feel it if an RNS pushed these to 30p (my target is 28 - 29 for the record).

totally relaxed at these levels but think that SETs is the best thing that has happened to SEO in a while.

Sequestor - 12 Jul 2005 11:44 - 7179 of 27111

prop

I`d feel it but not for long, any major change in the wind and I`ll long it- I can`t resist the blandishments of gung-ho posts on penny shares, I lead a very quiet life these days
g`luck- oh and lol!

ps don`t forget the statistic- shares take three X longer to rise than they do to fall.

proptrade - 12 Jul 2005 11:51 - 7180 of 27111

i have to say that it is guys like you that make these threads. i laugh at the small holders who squirm at the mention of a bearish comment.

i am stuck in on the long side looking for a 20-30% move on news (walmart, big order, whatever). downside i see to be mid-teens. a relatively good bet in my book but the annoying thing is i usually prefer quiet out of the way names to punt in...i couldn't be further away from that with SEO!

bosley - 12 Jul 2005 12:08 - 7181 of 27111

proptrade, for a long , long time seo was a very quiet , out of the way share. (i have put bvm on my watchlist as a possible.) i am quite happy to see seq shorting seo . his record lately isn't that good!!! :-)

(then again, law of averages says he's going to get it right one day)

proptrade - 12 Jul 2005 12:36 - 7182 of 27111

LOL Bosley!

Sequestor - 12 Jul 2005 12:36 - 7183 of 27111

yeah, its a bit addictive posting on these boards, I must make an effort and go out.
To be fair this thread had all the hallmarks of the usual ranting if one mentioned the fact that it might drop ( cries of pervert, child molestor, you don`t have any shares, and you are broke, gay , and the final insult "old"), but its good humoured now - after it DID collapse

ps bos` I have 3X more chance than you of getting it right at the moment-being short-- lies damn lies and staistics apart

lol

jimmy b - 12 Jul 2005 12:46 - 7184 of 27111

Seq , i'd rather be called old than a pervert , child molestor or gay. knowing that we best not mention your age again...

bosley - 12 Jul 2005 12:49 - 7185 of 27111

yeah, "old" was mine!! but then again , you went on about trading in the 70's and polly peck , so i just put 2 and 2 together and got ....over 55. i still think i'm 21 so 55 is old!!!! also, the thread has always been good humoured.

jimmy b - 12 Jul 2005 12:53 - 7186 of 27111

Actually, i think i refered to seq as gay after a comment he made about me , called me a creep i think , he's a nutter , but a good nutter and seems to know what he's talking about so i forgive him...

paulmasterson1 - 12 Jul 2005 13:43 - 7187 of 27111

Hi All,

Anyone short of SEO, just remember that the FINAL ASDA trial started the week of the 8th June, and this is now the FIFTH week since then, and it must be getting VERY CLOSE to the END OF ASDA TRIALS ....

We were told in a recent announcement, that USA rollout could commence AFTER the final ASDA trial is completed .... maybe Wal-Mart have made that a prerequisite to any USA deal ....

Cheers,
PM

Now , now guys & gals - patience.

I am not worried if the big news does not come through until end of August - which in my opinion is not unrealistc. so in the meantime - we will continue to get snippits of info which will mark the share up - then down again.

My original target was 30p by end of year - but my hopes have been raised to expect 50p. I will still be exstatic with 30p - and over the moon with 50p. I will even be happy if it stays as it is..........easily pleased me

Just to add my bit, I called seq a prat but then withdrew it on the next post.
In one of my ramping moments I said 100p before the end of this year, and always maintained 200p within two.
