THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

If you are looking for a reply from tory central office (MAM section) you had better be prepared for a long wait T.

Haystack (71922)

"Farage was promising all sorts of things and he wasn't even an MP"

Do please tell what Nigel Farage promised?

Because it was Nigel Farage that's said the 350 million was not correct,
and it was the Tory Brexiters that were saying it was.

Now put up these other promises that you say Nigel Farage made..

There will be no free movement of people when we exit the EU or the country will be in uproar ,there will be riots .
A lot of people were going to vote UKIP if LEAVE lost ,so imagine what will happen if they are stitched up when they won.

PM welcomes Labour's new MP: She should "keep her mobile on, she might be in shadow cabinet by the end of the day"

Video evidence emerges of Nigel Farage pledging EU millions for NHS weeks before Brexit vote

The Ukip leader distanced himself from the pledge just hours after EU referendum results became known

Nigel Farage: £350 million pledge to fund the NHS was 'a mistake'

Nigel Farage has always stated that the NET was 34 million pounds a day..

And is that ALL you can come up with..

Haystack - 27 Jun 2016 15:54 - 71939 of 81564

He only switched to the Net figure when attacked on it.

Rees Mogg would make a good PM

cynic - 27 Jun 2016 21:39 - 71942 of 81564

he's too well-spoken, clever and dry in his presentation ..... i think he's great, but few might agree

Haystack - 27 Jun 2016 21:49 - 71943 of 81564

Rees Mogg is great, but not a PM. He is known as the honourable member for the early 20th century.

MaxK - 27 Jun 2016 22:46 - 71944 of 81564

A better time.

I'm thinking of having an online petition to keep us in Europe , losing to Iceland wasn't fair so when we get a replay which is only fair we might just beat them . Roy won't be there of course but come on just sign on here . We haven't got a clue how to win a cup by England .com .

Fred1new - 28 Jun 2016 08:14 - 71946 of 81564

Max,

I watched Nigel Farrage give a live interview with Fox News last night from Brussels. I must say that he was very impressive with his answers. He didn't hesitate, despite some curved balls. Very direct and clear. No waffling like most politicians tend to do. If American, he would clean up Clinton and Trump. Unlike here, Americans like straight talkers.

Fred1new - 28 Jun 2016 09:02 - 71950 of 81564

Vicky!

I remember the Odeon's Saturday mornings film club 65 years ago.

The time set was similar to what many have to-day.

Farage's view of the world is seen through the bottom of a glass and has simplistic appeal.

Has appeal to Football hooligans.

jimmy b - 28 Jun 2016 09:04 - 71951 of 81564

That's a great idea VIC ,i don't give a hoot about football ,load of overpaid chavs couldn't even beat some electricians and taxi drivers.
But your idea is good and fair ,surely we would beat them if we just played again and again.
