THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Haystack "I have seen the quality of work from Polish builders and it is excellent and better in most cases then the British"

Yes that is the general derogatory response from the anti British open door
multicultural briggade..

Thats why you have these people thinking that if we leave the EU we wouldn't
be able to stand on our own two feet...

Haystack - 28 Jun 2016 18:55 - 71973 of 81564

It is meant to be derogatory of the British worker. It doesn't mean I want the Polish builders here, but they are just better.

cynic - 28 Jun 2016 18:55 - 71974 of 81564

GB - what an odd comment ..... i would actually be pretty surprised if some sort of accommodation was not reached over the coming 24 months or so ..... even if it is not, that would not mean the sudden disappearance of polish builders and their ilk, nor indeed prevent them being allowed into the country given the skill shortage in that and other industries

Haystack - 28 Jun 2016 19:03 - 71975 of 81564

Of course they won't go. I doubt that any immigrants will leave and further I doubt they we will stop immigration. We will end up with a deal that allows free movement.

iturama - 28 Jun 2016 19:07 - 71976 of 81564

I agree with you to a point Hays but I don't believe the majority come because of benefits. They come to work. The pay here is much higher than in the East European countries despite the fact that many are in minimum pay jobs.
My main purpose for voting out was to escape the Eurotocracy and ECJ. The referendum wasn't intended to support the BNP. We can do very well outside of Europe but that doesn't make Europe unimportant as far as trade and manpower are concerned. If we continue to grow, we will need skilled people. Where they come from doesn't matter to me, provided they can do the job and are prepared to fit in.
One thing that is important now is to assure those people that are here that their status will not change and the same reassurances must be obtained for UK expats working within the EU.

Chris Carson - 28 Jun 2016 22:00 - 71977 of 81564

My experience of the Poles maybe a wee bit biased, my son is engaged to a Pole and she has given me a Grandson. I work part time and the cleaners are all Polish, nicest people you could ever wish to meet. The remain side all called us racist because we deemed to be against uncontrolled...UNCONTROLLED immigration. Throw in democracy and what have you got LEAVE.

cynic - 28 Jun 2016 22:01 - 71978 of 81564

courtesy of reuters, a small extract ..............

Poland, Slovakia, Hungary and the Czech Republic called on Tuesday for the powers of the European Commission to be reined in after Britain voted to leave the EU, with Warsaw calling for the dismissal of Jean-Claude Juncker, the executive's head.

feels like a head of steam building already ...... i would not be surprised if NL joined in and certainly france's FN (lord preserve us) will ...... stay well aware that FN is currently garnering more and more support

cynic - 28 Jun 2016 22:02 - 71979 of 81564

.

cynic - 28 Jun 2016 22:02 - 71980 of 81564

my d-in-l is a pole dancer .... i wonder if she is an illegal who doesn't pay any tax :-)

iturama - 28 Jun 2016 22:20 - 71981 of 81564

But probably has benefits....

TANKER - 29 Jun 2016 07:29 - 71982 of 81564

cynic , its fact CAMERON stated in the commons that the avge migrant got benefits to the tune of between 7k and 10k a year not my words the pm

and also said that inwork benefits for most migrants was for rent .
atre you saying he lied in the commons ,

migrants working on farms
cleaning cars
working in
all low paid jobs do not pay anything into the uk
the only people that benefit are the employers who are milking the uk tax payers to make massive profits

VICTIM - 29 Jun 2016 07:41 - 71983 of 81564

36 dead in Turkey , thing is it's hard to know who done it and why in that country .

grannyboy - 29 Jun 2016 07:41 - 71984 of 81564

So instead of training the youngsters, we'l just carry on importing immigrants
to carry out the work...

Well done..Good thinking..

TANKER - 29 Jun 2016 07:43 - 71985 of 81564

will say this the gov and all our mps are a damn disgrace , we need a complete clean out and a new system .
most mps are just in the job for their own ends ,

for Cameron to resign because he did not like the result about sums him up
and should go now not wait he is dead
we should now have a general election and move forward and when we elect the next gov allow parliament to make the decisions not the general public .who in most cases
do not have a clue and most do not care .
LETS ELECT MPS ON ABILITY NOT BECAUSE THEY LOOK GOOD OR HAVE MONEY

looking at mps now we as a country are now a bloody joke

VICTIM - 29 Jun 2016 07:47 - 71987 of 81564

So why were they not saying this pre vote Maxk they must have been aware .

TANKER - 29 Jun 2016 07:48 - 71988 of 81564

gran . if cynic is telling the truth then all he wants is cheap labour because he only employed migrants to do the job cheaper . that is for sure ,
most people when wanting work done look at their past and workmanship
I would never allow anyone to work on my home or car till I new
and would never allow a migrant to clean my car those that do are just lazy

MaxK - 29 Jun 2016 07:58 - 71989 of 81564

Lots of things coming out now V, and I suspect you know the reasons why they were hidden from view.

grannyboy - 29 Jun 2016 08:01 - 71990 of 81564

Yes but TANKER you've got to understand that these are highly
'SKILLED' car washers that are coming to this country, and besides
there has to be an outlet for the money laundering that is carried out
under the guise of a 'legitimate' business!!.

TANKER - 29 Jun 2016 08:07 - 71991 of 81564

all car cleaners pay no tax no stamp no nothing .
they are parasites working for lazy people who then spout that the uk youths are lazy
these people need to look in the mirror
I enjoy cleaning my car and my home its relaxing
