Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).
Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.
cheers GF.

No. They exaggerate and twist the truth to suit themselves to appeal to the base instincts of the rabble.

GB. Vicky and JB.
Many of your remarks which you post could be seen by some as efforts to incite religious hatred and/or violence.
In my opinion, like Penn or Farage you may not wield the club, but many would take it from the manner and the content of some of what you post, as wishing others to have the licence to do so.
That is opinion.
Of course, you have the right to differ.

Of course the likes of haystack are right of course, they think they know
whats best for the rest of us, while they live in their ivory towers..
I thought it was only the Labour party that had champagne socialist, but
obviously it runs through the whole establishment.
And anyone who doesn't toe the multi-cultural suicidal bleeding heart liberals
are 'unpleasant, rabble rousers', unfit to walk this earth and shouldn't be allowed
an opinion.

Islam is fundamentally a peaceful religion that has been hijacked by crazy clerics. It is analogous to religion here in Europe in the Middle ages and all the violence associated with it such as the Witch trials, the Spanish Inquisition etc. We conducted numerous wars in the name of religion and persecuted non believers or believers in another religion. Education has led us from that view. Place like Pakistan are reservoirs of ignorance where prejudice grows.
All religions are cults with some being regarded as respectable. Hopefully there will come a time when all people who are religious will be laughed at, as are flat earthers.

cynic "many of the remarks which you post could be seen by some as

No my remarks are borne out by what i see and hear, and to accuse anyone who
proffers their opinions and in so doing encouraging others to carry out acts of
violence, seem to me to be attempting to divert the murderous acts of terrorism
that keeps being carried out from the followers of islam, as recently as last night,
and seeking scapegoats and eliminating any dissension.

The trouble with you Freda is that you continually refer to moments in history , if I wanted to spend every hour over the next five years talking about a subject and the spin offs that relate , I'd get in touch with YOU .

Haze,
Is the tory party a cult?
You seem to take on the mantle for it, and its "beliefs", with a "religious" zeal.

"Islam is fundamentally a peaceful religion"
I think there are over 100 verses in the koran that advocates death and
violence against non believers and apostates, homosexuals, etc, etc,
The reason they still believe in this kind of thing is its from the 6th century,
whereas Christians updated the Bible from the Old Testament to the new Testament
so thats why you don't get christians going around blowing people up or mowing
them down or beheading anyone.

GB and Vicky,
Was bombing Iraqi civilians from 50,000 feet or by using drones and killing bystanders as acts of bravery of murder?
Were such acts (and similar) stimulants to crazy acts by groups of "terrorists" to commit murder and mayhem.
You seem to be prepared to evoke hatred against the majority of Moslems and their kin for the "sins" of a minority of those groupings.
I am not condoning all of a group based on the actions of a minority.
Nor do I want to stimulate the majority to think that disproportionate ill-directed retaliations and try to justify then on the principle of an eye for and eye.

GB,
Check your history of Christianity and what has been done in its name.
Religion is often used as a totem pole to gather around and used to further the cause the "leaders" of a rabble.
