BLR is awaiting an update, but nothing emerges the price will drift dow as the Mm's lower the level before any news is available therfore BLR, 0.85 or lower.!

Rutherford - 21 Oct 2006 23:15 - 733 of 1049

explosive: Not sure how I would do that but if you can guide me through of course I will add the requested graphs. Alternatively you could start another BLR thread with a better header and I will be happy to post on the new thread.------
Now tried to put chart in but at the moment not there so we shall see.

Going by the company dates:
Steaming started 4 days ago.
Monteray drilling to finish round the 13th November and then well to be finished about the 4th Dec 2006.

soul traders - 24 Oct 2006 10:39 - 736 of 1049

I don't wish to burst your bubble, Laurie, but I would have expected an RNS had BLR started steaming.

Schedules always slip, but it's not necessarily serious as long as reasonable progress is being made.

laurie squash - 24 Oct 2006 10:53 - 737 of 1049

Steaming was stated to take 6 months rns on any major developments just starting on the 20th (30 days from 21st Sept report). From the website.
But yes I am in until 2007 anyway and will look to buy shortly.

mcmahons - 25 Oct 2006 16:02 - 741 of 1049

bloody hope so

silvermede - 25 Oct 2006 16:03 - 742 of 1049

I have only met Dr John Cubitt once but he seemed to have a good handle on the business and had a clear strategy in his own mind where the company was going.

This change at the top had been a topic of discussion on this BB.

Rutherford - 25 Oct 2006 17:04 - 743 of 1049

Believe BLR is about Monterey and Columbia and not about Ivan Burgess but he did do a good job in salvaging BLR and getting funding for Monterey. Both these projects are still there so my investment is not effected as such. If the market had not liked that news they would have marked down BLR immediately it was released.
IMHO.

skyhigh - 25 Oct 2006 18:08 - 744 of 1049

Be interesting to see which way the sp goes now....logical reason for him going would be there's bad news due and he has fallen on his own sword or he was pushed..if things were going according to plan then there would be no reason for him to go as no scapegoat needed... must be something else going on !

Rutherford - 25 Oct 2006 18:42 - 745 of 1049

According to other bulletin board there is nothing untoward going on. Big share holder who had spoken to Ivan at the weekend has sold none of his shares. They hold over 3%.

soul traders - 25 Oct 2006 20:22 - 746 of 1049

Wowsers! bye-bye Ivan! A big hand to him for getting things on track in Colombia and the North Sea; hopefully things will get even better under the new man at the helm.

smiler o - 25 Oct 2006 20:27 - 747 of 1049

soul T yes lets hope so :)

soul traders - 25 Oct 2006 20:29 - 748 of 1049

Well, I was just thinking that at present my investment in BLR is cruising at about 35% below what I paid for it (which unfortunately means the SP will have to rise by 50% to get me back in the clear!).

However, if I had any spare cash to spend on oilers, this would be one place I'd be inclined to put it.

smiler o - 25 Oct 2006 20:33 - 749 of 1049

well I still have a lot with AEN and Oxs so i would split what LITTLE cash i got with BLR and GTL i think ??

Rutherford - 25 Oct 2006 23:09 - 750 of 1049

soul traders: I am going to wait for a couple of days to see how things settle after the announcement and then top up. No advice intended.

soul traders - 26 Oct 2006 22:53 - 751 of 1049

Ruthers, I am sure you're doing the right thing.
