THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

The European Commission has ordered Ireland to claw back up to €13 billion (£11.1 billion; $14.5 billion) in back taxes from Apple.
Ireland's finance minister, Michael Noonan, said in a statement: "I disagree profoundly with the commission's decision." He added: "The decision leaves me with no choice but to seek Cabinet approval to appeal the decision before the European courts."
Strange situation when a Government appeals a windfall of 13B euros, even an Irish government :) I suspect appealing to the European court is the same as Gerrie Nel appealing the Pistorius sentence to that dopey Masipa. Judge and jury.

Must be one of those days.. be thankful we only have Smith and Corbyn to shake our heads at.

Kim Jong-un, the North Korean leader, ordered the public execution of two senior bureaucrats with an anti-aircraft gun, with South Korean media suggesting the killings are the start of a "new reign of terror" in the aftermath of a series of recent high-profile defections.
Sources told South Korea's JoongAng Ilbo newspaper reported that one of the men was identified as Ri Yong-jin, an official in the education ministry, who made the mistake of falling asleep in a meeting with Mr Kim. "He incurred the wrath of Kim after he dozed off during a meeting that Kim presided over," the newspaper quoted the source as saying.
"He was arrested on-site and intensively questioned by the state security ministry," the paper claimed. "He was executed after other charges, such as corruption, were found during the probe."
The second official was named as Hwang Min, a former agriculture ministry, who was executed "because policy proposals he had pushed for were seen as a direct challenge to the leadership of Kim Jong-un," the newspaper reported.

Sounds like a future Neo-con government under Theresa.

Dil - 30 Aug 2016 15:04 - 73271 of 81564

Well it would never happen under a future Corbyn government Fred as there will never be one.

On the BBC lunchtime news it had a report on the immigrants in the Med
coming from Africa, and across the mast of the boat that was picking them
up was their organisation, which read....'Proactiveopenborders.com'

The western governments are allowing this to happen, its obviously been
organised on the north African coast by these open borders scum and in
collusion with the western governments for transportation to europe.

Dilma Rousseff finally impeached. Good riddance to another socialist who thought she could spend regardless of the country's ability to pay. Despite the fact that she was running Petrobras at the time of the worst thieving from the company, I don't think she was herself corrupt, just very stupid. Her bad portuguese was notorious as well as her lack of common sense. Lula had her elected, assuming she would be his pupil and puppet. But like most women, she thought she knew better.. :). The economic conditions during her presidency were far different than the commodities boom enjoyed in the Lula era.

I feel safe in the Theresa and Jeremy's hands.

What do you do when you are invaded by immoral foreign herds? There is no point in talking to them, they have no heed of local customs:
Haryana's animal husbandry and dairy minister Om Prakash Dhankar, questioned "the moral character of foreign bulls' says a report in the Times of India. Stretching the statement, he said, "Jaisa wahan ke kai mulko mein character hai, waisa he inka character hai (these bulls have the same character as that of the people in the countries they come from)."
In his words, "foreign bulls are more aggressive, they violate more animals, including buffaloes, because they don't have the character similar to local bulls."

Either deport them, lock up your bullocks or cut of their bollox I say...
