Sefton Resources - a SCREAMING BUY at this price - small-cap oil producer (SER)

mjr1234 - 10 Nov 2005 12:44

This stock looks like the most undervalued oil company on the stock exchange. >
Sefton Resources epic SER. It is currently trading at a price of 0.275p valueing the whole company at just 4M.

You might look at the market cap and assume that this company is just an explorer or a shell, but in fact Sefton is producing over 6000 barrels of oil per month with a monthly revenue of over $300k. It's recent work on it's Tapia oilfield exceeded expectations, meaning the company hit it's 200BOPD target 5 months early, and is now expecting resource and production estimates to be further upgraded. This is before it embarks on a steam-assisted programme early next year which
could see production rates multiplied 2-4 times! It is also looking at drilling further wells on the rich Tapia field in the light of the better than expected results.

So why is it only valued at 4M? The primary reason is lack of awareness of the stock, the sub-1p price puts many people off straight away, and a large overhang.

A year or so ago the company was put in financial dire straits by a
well blowout and had to undertake large discounted placings to get
itself back on track, which it has done with a vengeance. However,
some of these placing shares, which represent some 25% of the company
are being sold into the market, depressing the price so that despite the fact that the companies prospects have improved dramatically over
the past year, the price has dropped by nearly 60%.

This makes the company an absolute bargain at these rock-bottom prices. In 6 months time I expect this to be worth 3-5 times the current price. SERIOUSLY.

There is plenty of research to get your teeth into, the best place to start is the website :

www.seftonresources.com

There are 2 excellent articles on Sefton on the following website by Ian Mclelland (Jan/Feb 2006) - well worth a read to get up to speed on this company and it's prospects:

mjr1234 - 24 Mar 2006 10:59 - 766 of 1047

Well there's some news.
Director reshuffle, results late May/early June, AGM July. But most importantly:

"The Company is also pleased to announce all settlement agreements in the
Currington Litigation which arose from the blowout in 2002 have been finalized
and all claims against TEG/Sefton regarding this litigation have been settled
with no costs to Sefton and TEG USA."

Well that's 2 unexpected news items in a row - now how about all the ones we are expecting? LOL.

robertalexander - 24 Mar 2006 11:39 - 767 of 1047

ticking up nicely, someone once said news comes in threes so we should be due one more piece of news soon!!LOL

tweenie - 24 Mar 2006 11:42 - 768 of 1047

mjr , was the market expecting costs to be found against sefton?
as this sounds like a 'right' result for them.

mjr1234 - 24 Mar 2006 11:43 - 769 of 1047

Not sure, but I do know Sefton had a lump of money set aside should costs arise. This cash can now be used to expand the company now.

robertalexander - 24 Mar 2006 11:49 - 770 of 1047

the only way is up!!

Diablo666 - 24 Mar 2006 12:07 - 771 of 1047

Major plus...

'all claims against TEG/Sefton regarding this litigation have been settled
with no costs to Sefton and TEG USA'...

cellby - 24 Mar 2006 16:53 - 772 of 1047

nice to see bid up to .50 ,not much Volume for 10% rise but it proVes that was good news this morning.dont like the results being late, just hope they can get the drill out soon, seems they haVe done nothing since last july.

mjr1234 - 24 Mar 2006 17:09 - 773 of 1047

Results only 3-4 weeks later than last year. Not an issue for me, especially if they issue announcements leading up to them as I expect.

cellby - 24 Mar 2006 17:35 - 774 of 1047

mjr i was thinking the same ,at least giVes more time for announcing start up of something.ser is an oil producer now so their main job is to increase bopd to pay for more prospects.unless they haVe drill rigs standing by,we wont get increased production until autumn.

mjr1234 - 24 Mar 2006 17:39 - 775 of 1047

As far as I can gather, plan is to drill more by June. Steam-stim probably not until autumn. Gas and CBM development in parallel?

explosive - 24 Mar 2006 21:11 - 776 of 1047

The preliminary results of Sefton Resources for the year ending 31 December 2005
are expected to be announced towards the end of May or early June and the AGM
will be held in July.

mjr1234 - 24 Mar 2006 23:11 - 777 of 1047

Looking forward to the AGM. Hopefully we will all come dressed in designer suits and gold watches..

Diablo666 - 27 Mar 2006 08:11 - 778 of 1047

- Drinks on MJ :P

robertalexander - 27 Mar 2006 21:00 - 779 of 1047

mjr, any reason for the nice large jump north in the sp?

mjr1234 - 27 Mar 2006 21:18 - 780 of 1047

robert,

Lots of buys, less sells, good news on Friday, oversold, bottom found, change in sentiment(positive)..

Looks good for another rise tomorrow. If they let this go this time then it could easily exceed the previous high and approach .75-.80 sort of levels according to my interpretation at the chart.

explosive - 28 Mar 2006 19:09 - 781 of 1047

At 29.95 a certificate I wonder what price I'd get for my entire holding!! Have a look below, not the kind of publicity we'd been expecting but better than nothing..

mjr1234 - 28 Mar 2006 21:23 - 782 of 1047

LOL, I think you'll find they do every share, explosive. But thanks anyway.

On a serious note, have you got the certs or are you in nominee account?

explosive - 29 Mar 2006 19:42 - 783 of 1047
