THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Well we will certainly know where people stand after it , probably a good thing really , and it's only 7 weeks away .

kimoldfield - 18 Apr 2017 11:50 - 76422 of 81564

Bad news for the Conservatives, they are well ahead in the poles which can only mean they will lose!😀

TAKING the P!SS

Voting for Christmas indeed. A lot of labour MPs will be brushing up their CVs. Most will need air brushing because they are not very impressive.

VICTIM - 18 Apr 2017 12:23 - 76425 of 81564

Seeing some Tory voters say this is about Brexit and will vote Liberal , there is a great danger this could happen , I don't think it's clear cut .

Dil - 18 Apr 2017 12:29 - 76426 of 81564

I do.

Where's Fred ? Maybe he's had a call to help write the Labour election manifiasco.

Martini - 18 Apr 2017 12:39 - 76427 of 81564

Looking for a cartoon to post as he is probably lost for words. (yes I know that is unlikely)

grannyboy - 18 Apr 2017 12:50 - 76428 of 81564

Is it really because May wants a mandate...Or is she getting cold feet on Brexit?

I wouldn't trust the 'establishment' as far as i could throw it...

The LibDems are the only ones that are happy a GE has been called, they have
nothing to lose but everything to gain, and the Tory's could lose a number of
seats to the LibDems in the South East, who's constituents voted to remain, the
Tory's need around 100 seat majority, otherwise it'l be looked on as a failure.

There has been left wing journalist spouting the best outcome would be a LibDem/
Labour/SNP coalition and having a very soft brexit....

An utter disaster....

ExecLine - 18 Apr 2017 13:13 - 76429 of 81564

Will the LibDems finally get smashed now? After the election, I think they will end up with only around 5 seats or so. Maybe even less.

Will UKIP get some MPs? Now Douglas Carswell has gone, I think they will possibly end up with 2 or 3 seats.

Will Labour take a big hit? Watch a disaster happen! I reckon they will get taken right down from 140 seats to less than 100!

Will the PM increase her majority? Yes. Massively!

And the SNPs? I would say they might lose as many as 15-20 seats and the Conservatives could take seats from them. However, I won't put my £5 on the last bit. :-)

The answers to all these questions and more will be answered early in the morning of June 9th

Fred1new - 18 Apr 2017 13:15 - 76430 of 81564

Hey giggles,

Just wondering who may be attempting to form a coalition government on June 9th.

But May reminds me someone attempting to emulate Erdogan.

Mind it takes a coward to duck facing up to the loony right of her "own" party of "con artists", Ukippers, BNP and similar and at the same time giving the bill to the public to pay for her own inadequacies and spinelessness.

Rejoice a new banana republic is on its way and we have more corruption to look forward to.

iturama - 18 Apr 2017 13:35 - 76431 of 81564

I can give them to you now XL
No, No, Yes, No, Yes.

grannyboy - 18 Apr 2017 14:16 - 76432 of 81564

Well once the GE is over that should see the end of corbyn, flabbott, and most
of the other shadow cabinet, who'l be nothing more than blips in history.

The Labour party will have to select another bunch of feminist, until the
islamist take charge then the feminist will be but blips in history..

ExecLine - 18 Apr 2017 15:02 - 76433 of 81564

Will Ed Balls stand again?

My bet is a resounding 'Yes'. 'Strictly' increased his popularity massively.

grannyboy - 18 Apr 2017 16:03 - 76434 of 81564

Ed Balls!!!!..Who's he?..

Fred1new - 18 Apr 2017 17:01 - 76435 of 81564

Well, Ed Balls showed he has a sense of humour.

He may need it.

MaxK - 18 Apr 2017 18:15 - 76436 of 81564

Dil - 18 Apr 2017 20:14 - 76437 of 81564

Lol , that just about sums it up.

Laurenrose - 19 Apr 2017 07:38 - 76438 of 81564

if any mp abstains to vote today should resign

Laurenrose - 19 Apr 2017 07:57 - 76439 of 81564

any mp who abstains today should never have been an mp

iturama - 19 Apr 2017 08:22 - 76440 of 81564

Many won't be in less than 2 month's time Tanker. The vulnerable one's will need to be dragged through the division. It will be interesting to see how the Scottish No Party votes.
