Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

Granny,
I am a littles surprised that you understand the cartoons.
Surprising how much content can be contained in a few brush or pen strokes.

I've already told YOU, i'm a lot cleverer then you'l ever be, and I don't need to use crass cartoons to put an argument across.

Corbyn has been opposed to the EU for many years and was attacking it last year. He has ditched his principles and supported the EU because his party would turn on him even more than it has so far.

When I was 5years old I believed in a god.
Times change, opinions of the sensible change in accordance with developments.
Corbyn declaration on his opinion of the EU seems to coincide with moderate opinion of EU its benefits and problem.
He also comes over as honest and thoughtful, which must be a difficult position for the opportunistic tory to understand.
But it is laughable that Cameron has got into the mess he is in by proposing a referendum on EU to placate the looney right of a split tory party.
His egocentric decision is coming back to bite him.
He needs all the help he can get to not go down in history as a failure who led the UK out of the EU.
Cameron and his mate Osborne are egocentric sociopaths directed by opportunistic self-gain with little respect of others.

in his heart, corbyn may indeed not support staying in eu
however, as party leader he has an obligation to support the majority within plp, and that is to stay in

Yes Fred, when you were 5 you believed in a God. Now you think you are God!
Corbin is a hypocrite. Gonna take more than any Holy intervention for him and your beloved Labour Party to be elected as the next government any time soon, and you know it.

Corbyn has made no attempt to support the PLP about any other issue such as Trident, Syria, austerity etc.

Manuel,
Remind me, how many times did Churchill change parties.
How many U-turns has Cameron done in 6years.
How many reversals has Georgie boy made in the last 6months or 6 years.
Perhaps, Corbyn's change of views is just realism.
Exit from the EU in the present world economic and international political state would likely lead to chaos.

Ask Cameron what plans he has for Syria and if his austerity programme has been successful.
He could always put it to a vote in a GE.

Let's be honest Corbyn is odds on to do a Kinnock falling into the sea. Problem is won't be quite so dramatic, captured by the Guardian falling arse over tit into his brussel sprouts :0)
Fred....More, More!

Just a thought.
The referendum is government sponsor with Cameron as the PM.
If there is a vote for out, then many would consider it a rejection of Cameron, his policy and the government as a whole.
He should hold a vote of confidence, or it should be proposed by labour, the Lib/Dems and the dissident neo-con members in the .
I could see an interesting post-referendum phase of government.
God help the pound and share prices.

The pound is trading at the going rate, you think brexit isn't priced in?
It's the €urobun that needs watching, cos it's only Germany and a couple of the northern countries that is holding it together. Club med are basket cases, and getting worse every day.
They're bust Fred, bust I tell you!
