World cup 2010, What chances for the Home sides and Ireland !. (2010)

required field - 12 Oct 2008 18:43

Thought I'd start a football blog, we might keep this going until 2010.....England doing well....did not see the match or even the goals....I'd like Michael owen back in the squad though....and I think Peter Crouch would make a very good substitute...remember against Argentina in Geneva a few years ago....with Michael Owen and some very good movements on and off the ball...they caused havoc.....did see Scotland's missed chance....that could be very costly losing those 2 points !.

and the persistent rumours of backhanders that follow him ?

tabasco - 13 Apr 2010 08:11 - 776 of 1154

Joe
Harry has volunteered to help any inquiry... in any way he canhe has stated publicly that he has never taken a bungall the evidence that Panorama gathered after a very long and thorough investigationthat included setting people upcould not bring about a prosecution
Sam Allardyce of Bolton. Chelsea's director of youth football Frank Arnesen George Grahamthen we have Alan Sugar then chairman of Tottenham alleged that Terry Venables the chief executive Sugar had sacked had told him that Brian Clough liked a bung...all in good company there?... .Mike Newellthe Luton Manager virtually said. having to deal with agents has put managers in an impossible positionthe agents run a mafia ring that is now watertight
Joedo you think Managers want Agents to deal withI dont think so!
To sum upour very top Club Managerspast and present have been accusedthey have had to answer to televisionpressand Policethere has never been to my knowledgeone prosecutionand only George Graham lost his jobBTW definition of rumours:- gossip or hearsay.and you like a good gossip Joe I rest my case!

I sprained my foot the other dayjust twisted my foot that was all
When I told my mate he saidId give the Doc a call
Broke your legI saidno its just the foot
A twist can be a break he saidId give the Doc a look

Well then funny enoughI did feel ill
He told his mum Id broken my footand probably my leg
About the pains Id been getting in my head
Whats the point denying itI hoped the fuss would die down
My wife then tells my boss I was illand could he bring my money round?
Never had a day offmust be badhe said
Tommy tells mehes broken both his legs
I never mentioned on the phone the day my Mother called
I never knew you were that illshe saidyou had everybody fooled
Im not so badI told hernot to worry Mum
Ill get round there as soon as I can
dont you bother son.
Must be something badshe told her neighbourhe tried to hush it up
That boys heading for troublepoor sodhe normally has all the luck
Down this time the neighbour smiledI bet your worried sick.
Hell be lucky to come out of this little lotand if he doesits a permanent stick!!
I couldnt believe itme mates sent me notesmy brother called who I hadnt seen for years
His wife had broken down in tears
Broke both legs and a blood clot in the headno wonder hes on his back
I was only resting my swollen footbut they didnt believe that!
Hed had back troublewhen he was about seven when fell off a slide
I bet this starts it off againparalysed down one side
The Postman had told his Mumyou mark my words
No matter what the Doctor sayshes strictly for the birds
Hes ad ithes finishedpoor old sod
I wish Id been a louder blokeI should have made me point
Getting out of me carcaught me footjust bruised the joint
Still no mattertheyd made up there minds
With two broken legsa clot in me headand paralysed down one side
I thoughtwell if I havent got long to goIll enjoy myself from now on
When my sprain is healed upmy problems will be gone
When I get back to normal lifewhat else can I do but win
Unless Dil spreads another rumour?the Man's a fcuking din!

Dil - 13 Apr 2010 11:13 - 782 of 1154

No need to go to all that trouble tabby when a simple yes or no would have done.

So he hasn't been charged yet then ?

:-)

"Redknapp, who is jointly accused with former Portsmouth owner and current Leicester chairman Milan Mandaric, could face prison if he is convicted. The charges relate to payments allegedly made by Mandaric to Redknapp via a Monaco bank account while he was manager of Portsmouth and which the Crown Prosecution Service say were intended to evade tax and national insurance."

DilSir Philip Green has been doing it for yearsdo you think he will get nicked? "Offshore Tax Evasion has Costs U.S. over $100 Billion UBS did not appear to be helpfulif Harry is guilty of committing a crimehe will get punished the same as our Politicians wereand they know the law

Joe Say - 14 Apr 2010 19:06 - 785 of 1154

Theres a vast difference between not prooving somebody guilty and declaring them innocent which is precisely what MP's, football managers/agents, run of the mill crooks all rely on.

The 2 are not the same

Dil - 14 Apr 2010 19:38 - 786 of 1154

Sorry Joe but in this country you are innocent until proven guilty.

When's Harry in court ?

Joe Say - 15 Apr 2010 07:19 - 787 of 1154

Guess you think MP's are honorable, that courts always reach the right decision (defending ones home, 1m damages for child care sex/race discrimination etc etc etc), the markets aren't rigged, and that OJ was innocent.

Me - I live in the real world, and whilst highly paid lawyers can defend the guilty, I accept that maybe many people are in fact really guilty, and it is the incompetence (or shortfall in funding) that prevents the counter argument being won by those making the accusations.

tabasco - 15 Apr 2010 08:28 - 788 of 1154

Joe
just about every mega rich PlayboyPoliticianBusinessmanActorSingerFootballer and so on..are not totally honourable with their hard earned?.we all have likeable/dislikeable villainsGuido Fawkes is my personal favouriteand Jeffrey Howard Archer is one I wish he had blown uptrust me Harry is a Gentlemanbut even if he dedicates the rest of his life.to starving children in Africayou would find a reason to dislike him?

Dil - 15 Apr 2010 09:14 - 789 of 1154

Huge difference between honourable and innocent Joe and I too live in the real world but until someone comes up with something better then innocent until proven guilty will have to do.

required field - 22 Apr 2010 08:22 - 790 of 1154

In France : you are guilty until proved innocent !...anyway coming back to football....Liverpool and Fulham play tonight......Barca play some lovely, pretty stuff....but that will not always work....Inter are now favourites.....none of these defenses today impress me....gone are the days when behind 4 great defenders stood a great goalkeeper as well !.....so it's an Inter-Bayern final for me...whether both english teams can get to the final is a bit of a doubt....one finalist would be nice....

Chris Carson - 22 Apr 2010 10:55 - 791 of 1154

Come on Fulham!

Joe Say - 22 Apr 2010 18:22 - 792 of 1154

Good job Capello and the media backed Stevie G eh ? and all those thousands of muppets that have jumped on the anti JT bandwagon.

Lets see if he gets the same treatment for you all

required field - 23 Apr 2010 08:52 - 793 of 1154

Once again the cottagers have surprised...I didn't think that they would get a draw out there....surprise of the season is Fulham...and that's for the whole of europe !....we could end up with an all english final or just one finalist or even nobody in the final at all....tough return games ahead...

Dil - 24 Apr 2010 01:29 - 794 of 1154

Difference is Joe is that Gerrard deserves to be in the England team whereas JT has lost it.
