There are signs TM's confidence is now on the wobble. There are also signs Boris and Davis do want her to stay, at least for the time being. But they may be plotting something in the background. If she could do a deal with the SNP, who also need a bit of succour and support after their Election ordeal, then May and the rest of them might be able to relax a bit more and more easily get on with the job of Brexit. But what could this deal be?

i'ld love to see the reintroduction of apprenticeships, but courses in the building and allied trades are undersubscribed (perceived as infra dig?) and also at the end of it, it's almost impossible to get employed to obtain the necessary field experience
i am told that the cost in time, money and assorted forms to maintain make it far too much hassle for small companies

From what you posted I see that you are putting your children and grandchildren down for local apprenticeship schemes in your area.

Adult education has many values other than simply getting a degree.

It can be seen as an ongoing "developmental" phase.

77552 - fortunately all 3 of my children were bright enough to go to good unis and get proper degrees in worthwhile subjects ......

2 of them used their degrees directly in their future employment

though a BSc for the 3rd was not directly useful, it certainly helped in other ways ..... his greatest help in his future life, apart from being an excellent communicator, was to get holiday jobs in the field into which he wanted to go


adult education for the less academic is assuredly best learnt in the real world ...... hence the need for apprenticeships for them and not just for those who already have good academic qualifications
