THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

however, and as you say, these power stations were built 50 years ago
ecological arguments apart, they had probably already seen out their commercially viable life

Laurenrose - 13 Jun 2017 14:35 - 77826 of 81564

cynic no they were built to last over 100 years by having shut downs to refit .

this happened ever 3 years ,

Germany have broken the paris agreement and then they condemn trump you could not make it up

GERMANY BUILDING MORE COAL STATIONS BUT TELLING THE WORLD THEY CAN NOT
SO NOW JAPAN HAVE SAID FCUK THE EU

Laurenrose - 13 Jun 2017 14:40 - 77827 of 81564

EX ANOTHER DUMB MOVE BY THE EU ,

the burning of wooden pellets are far worse than coal twice as bad for co2

fact , its all their to read

Germany have said bollocks japan and the USA should ignore the eu liars

Sensible economic contracts?

Whose back pocket is being filled?

Is Germany's Green Revolution about to turn black with coal dust?
As the country moves away from nuclear, the builders of coal-fired power stations are moving into action.
When Chancellor Merkel announced the closure of all the country's 17 nuclear reactors by 2022, there were loud cheers from environmentalists.
But less well heard were the cheers

Germany is now burning billions of tons .

why is no one from the climate committee asked questions , they have been shut up threaten with their lives?

MaxK - 13 Jun 2017 14:54 - 77831 of 81564

It's €U green coal tanks, so everythings jake.

KidA - 13 Jun 2017 14:57 - 77832 of 81564

As before, May has to deal with both Brexit sides of her party.

Sturgeon needs to put Indyref2 on a lower shelf and concentrate on running the country.

Corbyn and Momentum have cemented their takeover of the Labour party - the main objective. Defeat for the so called moderates - do they stay or up sticks?

Labour take a 40% share but only manage to be 56 seats behind the Conservatives. Another surge required. Will they achieve it as the gloss on I'm With Jeremy weathers?

cynic - 13 Jun 2017 15:05 - 77833 of 81564

77826 - thanks for correcting me on the longevity, though i confess some surprise

imo germany should be roundly condemned, and ditto trump and china (burns horribly sulphurous coal) and japan

however, just because others wish to rush headlong towards ecological oblivion, there is no reason we (UK) should join with them

Laurenrose - 13 Jun 2017 15:11 - 77834 of 81564

cynic why should the uk pay twice as much for elec
knocking down good stations on a lie by the eu is a disgrace

the eu laws have been trashed by Germany so why should any country take any notice of liars

cynic - 13 Jun 2017 15:22 - 77835 of 81564

to repeat ........
just because others wish to rush headlong towards ecological oblivion, there is no reason we (UK) should join with them

Laurenrose - 13 Jun 2017 15:47 - 77836 of 81564

cynic that is not a answer , should Germany be allowed to trash the paris agreement then attack trump on the issue , its a disgrace that the eu have allowed Germany to shut down the eu on the issue silence so why give a toss about the eu paris agreement I say stuff it go on japan usa burn billions of tons of coal

grannyboy - 13 Jun 2017 15:59 - 77837 of 81564

The last i heard too was China was building a coal fired plant every week.

So to claim that the UK should not join them in the belief that the UK's efforts
will save the planet is rather deluded..the same with the number of vehicles
that keep increasing relentlessly in countries like India and China... but these
eco-warriors like cynic and that ditzy bint lucas would rather see the UK paying
extortionate energy prices just to salve their consciences, and put the uk at
a disadvantage...Because these liberal bleeding heart lefties love nothing better
then to show concern for those around the world before those of their countrymen
and their hatred for the white indigenous population..They call it liberal guilt for
the sins of the Empire...

cynic - 13 Jun 2017 16:00 - 77838 of 81564

you wrote
the eu laws have been trashed by Germany so why should any country take any notice of liars

i replied, which does indeed answer the above, though you do not like it
just because others wish to rush headlong towards ecological oblivion, there is no reason we (UK) should join with them

Laurenrose - 13 Jun 2017 16:09 - 77839 of 81564
