Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

Manuel,
Remind me, how many times did Churchill change parties.
How many U-turns has Cameron done in 6years.
How many reversals has Georgie boy made in the last 6months or 6 years.
Perhaps, Corbyn's change of views is just realism.
Exit from the EU in the present world economic and international political state would likely lead to chaos.
-===-==
Ask Cameron what plans he has for Syria and if his austerity programme has been successful.
He could always put it to a vote in a GE.

Let's be honest Corbyn is odds on to do a Kinnock falling into the sea. Problem is won't be quite so dramatic, captured by the Guardian falling arse over tit into his brussel sprouts :0)
Fred....More, More!

Just a thought.
The referendum is government sponsor with Cameron as the PM.
If there is a vote for out, then many would consider it a rejection of Cameron, his policy and the government as a whole.
He should hold a vote of confidence, or it should be proposed by labour, the Lib/Dems and the dissident neo-con members in the .
I could see an interesting post-referendum phase of government.
God help the pound and share prices.

The pound is trading at the going rate, you think brexit isn't priced in?
It's the €urobun that needs watching, cos it's only Germany and a couple of the northern countries that is holding it together. Club med are basket cases, and getting worse every day.
They're bust Fred, bust I tell you!

I see fred as been attempting to posting what resembles intelligent posts, but if you look into some of his claims you can see they're just hot air..
"The referendum is government sponsor with Cameron as PM"
Cameron didn't expect to be forced into calling a referendum, he thought there would be get out clause with another coalition with the LibDems, and the libdems would've insisted that the referendum be dumped..
"If there is a vote for out then many would consider it a rejection of Cameron, his policy and the government as a whole"
I would'nt say it was a vote for the whole of the governments policies as an whole, just Camerons failed EU 'REFORMS', and his jubilations of an empty victory...
"Corbyns declaration on his opinion of the EU seems to coincide with moderate opinion of EU of EU and its benefits and problems"
Corbyn is under the delusional impression that he can go to Brussels and get massive 'reforms'..He's another deluded sole on the same level as Cameron was, and we've seen what 'REFORMS' Cameron came back with....
YOU are a fool fred, no matter how much YOU try to post anything near intelligent...LOL!

the result will be "in" though i shall not support that
corbyn wouldn't have a hope in hell of changing anything of any value in uk's favour, any more than did cameron
as i have written b4, eu legislature has no interest whatsoever in any meaningful changes, let alone root and branch reform which is actually what is required
to be honest, the whole fundamental voting process within eu ligislature needs to be shredded and rewritten, and you all know the odds against the required unanimous vote for that!

Granny,
To be as certain as you seem to believe, of your "opinion" being correct, is either an achievement, or more likely a delusion.

bollocks fred
what evidence, however flimsy, do you have to support the view that eu legislature has any interest whatsoever in any sort of change, let alone root and branch?

?
It has been in constant change since its conception.

The creators of the EU project knew from the begining
where they wanted to go, they gave the impression that it
was a trading concept between European countries, but behind
closed doors they propagated the ideology of an eventual political
entity and they knew it would take a number of years to achieve
anywhere near total political control.
They've not finished yet, until total fiscal, monetary and most
importantly political union has completed.

GB - not sure from where you c+p'ed that, but cannot disagree
fred - as GB writes, that is the only evolution in which the eu legislature is interested .... other than filling its bank accounts to morbid obesity
