Doubt if we will see an rns from BLR on Monday so a good chance to top up again although I think price will be a bit higher than where we are now.

Rutherford - 11 Nov 2006 15:45 - 788 of 1049

Wintershall will be pulling all the strings as operator and to them it is just another well but to BLR it is a company maker. Carrizo had nothing else in the AGM statement so not making a big thing of it but probably very confident to include it in the AGM statement.

Rutherford - 11 Nov 2006 18:24 - 789 of 1049

The first well by ARCO was a vertical well but the well being drilled by BLR is a deviated well so will hit more of the pay Zone. Carrizo did a lot of seismic over this area and Wintershall thought enough of it to buy into the field from Carrizo leaving Carrizo with 25% and BLR 15%. With the well in good condition which it must be after running production liner we could have some good flow rates here.
Looking forward to results!

Looking forward to a rise to 3p +

moneyman - 13 Nov 2006 10:18 - 791 of 1049

Well this is a nice start to a Monday. Hope we get some real positive figures to make this rise considerably higher.

skyhigh - 13 Nov 2006 11:25 - 792 of 1049

Yes, let's hope so..

soul traders - 13 Nov 2006 11:30 - 793 of 1049

Morning all,

Very satisfactory this morning - hope the North Sea delivers the goods!

seawallwalker - 13 Nov 2006 11:39 - 794 of 1049

If it don't you will soon know.

I have dropped out and am closing some old postions that have not done as expected.

soul traders - 13 Nov 2006 11:50 - 795 of 1049

SWW - LOL, I guess this one probably will get dropped like a hot brick if Monterey is a duster!

I am maintaining my confidence, however, and hope that it will be rewarded.

PS - if you fancy a punt, AAU's looking cheap ahead of drilling results at their gold sites in Turkey, expected out at the end of the month, but PDYOR.

moneyman - 13 Nov 2006 12:32 - 796 of 1049

Rather put my money in TRP ST

laurie squash - 13 Nov 2006 13:34 - 797 of 1049

Only now is the price where it was prior to extra shares so lots of room to improve over the next week.

seawallwalker - 13 Nov 2006 13:39 - 798 of 1049

Sokay soul.

Moving into a differnet state this time I am going comotose for a while.

I still have stocks, it's just I had too many punts.

BLR will be fine now I am out.

Wait and see.

Dr Square - 13 Nov 2006 14:43 - 799 of 1049

Morning SWW

Just got back in :-)))

Anyone know roughly what flow rate is required to make this commercial.

regards

Doc Square! Welcome back!

Off the top of my head, I don't know the answer to your question, but I believe the WH Ireland report (see company website) might give some indications of what can be expected.

SWW - I know the feeling; have spent too long and lost too much dosh sticking with high-risk stuff when more dependable stocks have been getting away nicely. Funny how it never seems to put me off, though!

Good luck to all.

goal - 13 Nov 2006 14:51 - 801 of 1049

Welcome back Dr square, it's been a good day, I hope this is the start of BLR.

seawallwalker - 13 Nov 2006 15:05 - 802 of 1049

soul it wont me either.

Just trimming the that's all.

Hello Square.

Good to see you.

moneyman - 13 Nov 2006 15:13 - 803 of 1049

Well the value of Monty could be quite good depending on the economics. There is potential for this well to flow 30mmcfd or 750boepd to BLR. Reserves could be in the region of 165bcf or more depending on the production index of this well. The PI is expected to be high with only two wells to develop the entire field and given the 30mmcfd rate (would be classified as a significant discovery by the DTI if that is the case). The reserves would be approximately 4-5mmboe to BLR, a undeveloped NAV of about 20-25m. Given a modest rate of $5/mcf, you would be talking revenues exceeding 22,500 per day to BLR. the reserves would give them purchasing power or leverage to get developmental funds. Development of monty would be late 07 early 08, we would get an appraisal some time next year if successful. I could see BLR appraising Monty and selling on a confired reservoir size, auctioning monty at the stage of two shut in production wells could fetch in a very decent amount to BLR (25-30m) not small buns to a 8m company. Colombia would fit in there somewhere on top of this. How many other companies have 15% carried on a potential 165bcf target and cash in the bank and a pilot steam production project on an oilfield. If Monty is a goer BLR will be grossly under valued. Derisked monty could be worth 3p on the share price, Arce baul 1-2 etc lets not even get onto Bukhara or La Tolda yet.

Regards,
Ed.
