THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Dove advert fuss is nonsense. In the full advert, the white girl also turns into an Asian girl. Complaints are very selective. If anything, the advert tried to be multicultural. It was just stupidity to have ignored the possibility of activists complaining.

Will someone not rid us of this useless useless woman?

Stan - 10 Oct 2017 20:47 - 79252 of 81564

But she's your leader.

Claret Dragon - 10 Oct 2017 21:13 - 79253 of 81564

Conviction Politician.

A total stitch up having her as leader when she watched on the sidelines in Ref.

ExecLine - 10 Oct 2017 21:14 - 79254 of 81564

Most certainly, IMHO, and merely to illustrate to everyone how she is now absolutely 100% behind the country leaving the EU, she definitely should have said, "I would still vote to leave the EU."

Surely to goodness, we are now mentally and physically done with it.

What do others think?

iturama - 10 Oct 2017 21:52 - 79255 of 81564

She likely did not vote to leave the EU, so why should she say now that she would still vote to leave? The question is hypothetical from a smart ass since Article 50 has been triggered but anything to cause confusion and undermine May and her cabinet is to the benefit of the EU and the remoaners, including Sky News and the bankers. They will try to wear her down in every way possible. Any answer she gave was begging a follow up. She needs support.

Claret Dragon - 10 Oct 2017 22:06 - 79256 of 81564

How can you execute any decision properly if you don't believe in it!!!

She has to be replaced.

We can all argue about a penny on or off income tax.

Leaving EU with a huge shortfall is much more important to me.

Stan - 10 Oct 2017 22:08 - 79257 of 81564

Is she talking to Phillip Hammond?

Claret Dragon - 10 Oct 2017 22:09 - 79258 of 81564

No, nor would i :)

hilary - 11 Oct 2017 08:08 - 79259 of 81564

Why does it matter how Maggie May would vote in the event of an indyref 2?

For a start, it's a hypothetical question as a second referendum isn't even on the agenda.

But, more importantly, one of the core tenets of democracy within the UK is that everybody's vote is confidential, and is of no business whatsoever to anybody else. She might be prime minister, but her basic democratic rights haven't been removed.

Claret Dragon - 11 Oct 2017 08:17 - 79260 of 81564

May the floating voter.

hilary - 11 Oct 2017 08:28 - 79261 of 81564

No, May the shrewd politician, who understands that it doesn't matter which side she supports, just so long as it's the right side.

Claret Dragon - 11 Oct 2017 08:43 - 79262 of 81564

A conviction Politician!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fred1new - 11 Oct 2017 08:55 - 79263 of 81564

Are you talking about this lady and her dogs?

MaxK - 11 Oct 2017 08:55 - 79264 of 81564

May is a floater and needs to be flushed! (Hammond too)

iturama - 11 Oct 2017 09:04 - 79265 of 81564

Better than a convicted politician CD. She didn't ask for this poisoned chalice, it was handed to her by the party after that convinced europhile Cameron finally showed his colours. But don't underestimate the forces at work to undermine the whole process. They would rather see the Tories out than give up on their efforts to stay in the EU. May is not impressive and the likes of Osborne are determined to keep white-anting to bring her down.

Claret Dragon - 11 Oct 2017 09:15 - 79266 of 81564

True. We don't want any criminals in the House of Commons.

Fully aware that every card trick is being played out to stop Brexit.

9 months to trigger article 50. That summed it up to me.

Should have been implemented with in 3 months maximum.

May needs to be replaced with a Eurosceptic MP.

Stan - 11 Oct 2017 09:31 - 79267 of 81564

Your next leader of the Conartists Hammond speaks http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-41577065

Fred1new - 11 Oct 2017 09:34 - 79268 of 81564

"True. We don't want any criminals in the House of Commons."

Did you mean " True. We don't want any more criminals in the House of Commons. "

But many said tories are racing to commit suicide or hoping for re-birth of the BUF.

Just be gentlemen and agree to disagree. The two coggy left footers just winding you up.
