THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

May it be his last will.

Philip Hammond has been warned by cabinet colleagues that he faces an ambush on the budget from Tories who want him out. Senior government figures fear that the chancher has become so toxic that he does not have sufficient authority to get difficult measures through the Commons.

iturama - 23 Oct 2017 08:23 - 79329 of 81564

I think you mean chancer Stan

Stan - 23 Oct 2017 08:35 - 79330 of 81564

Correct and well spotted again..I love to keep you spell checkers on your toes 😀

Any of you muppets daft enough to drive to London? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-41695116

aldwickkk - 23 Oct 2017 09:34 - 79332 of 81564

Its only to stop you tight fisted northerners driving to London and spending f*ck all .

Stan - 23 Oct 2017 09:42 - 79333 of 81564

I have never driven back into London since Red Ken had his day. Congestion charge it is not.

Tax yes

Exec,

A bit like buying into a startup tech company.

The state "hopes" the "investment" will make good returns in the future.

Tories = the consistently cheap and nasty party.

iturama - 23 Oct 2017 15:18 - 79338 of 81564

Yes, just a money making gimmick. Can't move at more than 10 mph outside the "congestion" area. Khan was on the radio this morning justifying the T charge and blaming vehicles for everything from grey hair to dementia. Nothing about labour policies driving people mad.

Clocktower - 23 Oct 2017 16:05 - 79339 of 81564

What a bunch of moaners on this thread, easy to blame all the parties that run the country but much harder to do anything about making change, as as you are met by a well educated, corrupt civil service that is supported by the judiciary and the police, who run rings around nearly all well meaning politicians, by putting the resources collected from all taxes to weigh down any dissent by loading them with so much documentation while they collect even more paperwork to put forward other ideas that fit in with there long term plans to increase their own powers within the establishments they control.

VICTIM - 23 Oct 2017 16:10 - 79340 of 81564

So that's not a moan then Clockthing .Eh .

Stan - 23 Oct 2017 16:20 - 79341 of 81564

Thanks for that CT... I'll add "moaning" to their other defects of cheap and nasty then 😃

iturama - 23 Oct 2017 16:42 - 79342 of 81564

Wow Clock, congratulations on getting all your frustration out in one sentence. Pity that it makes no sense. Could you try again?

iturama - 23 Oct 2017 16:44 - 79343 of 81564

Except to Stan but I wouldn't take that as a compliment.

Stan - 23 Oct 2017 17:27 - 79344 of 81564

Compliments?...don't talk about things that you know nothing about.

Stan - 25 Oct 2017 16:30 - 79345 of 81564
