THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Alexander the great is viewed as Alexander the curse in Iran.....

Clocktower - 12 Jan 2018 15:08 - 79856 of 81564

cynic, I do not agree that the post you refer too was a bitter or forceful attack - rather than just general comment.

As for Quakers they are but The Society of Friends that promoted humane treatment for the mentally ill among other matters, so I would give Quakers credit for confronting established churches and their leaders etc. and their deceitful practices in the past but each to their own as long as they do no harm to others.

cynic - 12 Jan 2018 15:13 - 79857 of 81564

more to the point, i said, "your soft diatribe (over-generalised bollocks anyway)"

hilary - 12 Jan 2018 15:22 - 79858 of 81564

Anyone know how often Quakers get their oats?

cynic - 12 Jan 2018 15:35 - 79859 of 81564

what a question to ask!!
:-)

Clocktower - 12 Jan 2018 16:06 - 79860 of 81564

Cynic - In your opinion it was "over-generalised bollocks anyway" and you know I value your opinion as much as I like Oats except when I`m getting mine. :-)

DT is certainly rocking the boat with his remarks....he's saying out loud what a lot of people think....it's not going down well because all the muppetheads want bu.....t polite spoken terms....The USA doesn't want any more illegal immigrants....he puts it bluntly......it's harsh but he'll stop illegal entry to the States in its tracks.....might not be diplomatic and cause furore but it might be effective......look at the EU and what do you get....a lot of excuses as to not being able to do anything....millions arriving taking jobs away from other people.....rising crime...murders...assaults...disease.....

Momentum sweeps to victory in Labour's NEC elections as Jon Lansman wins by 'Lanslide' margin

Jeremy Corbyn’s left-wing allies seized control of Labour’s party machine today in a clean sweep of elections to the National Executive.

The results opened the door for the Left to deselect centrist MPs and carry out a purge of party officials who have stood in their leader’s way.

A slate of candidates fronted by Mr Corbyn’s veteran Marxist ally Jon Lansman, the chairman of grassroots campaign group Momentum, won three seats on the committee by landslide margins. The comedian Eddie Izzard, often touted as a future Mayor of London candidate, was pushed into fourth place, dousing hopes that his stardust could rescue the centre-ground. The results seal the Left’s long-planned takeover of the party. Mr Lansman boasted on Twitter that it was a “LANSlide”.

Power to the people MaxK - only question is which deranged people would support the Marxist Left Labour Party in a General Election? TM will get a big majority when she calls another election in about 12/15 months time.

cynic - 16 Jan 2018 09:32 - 79866 of 81564

hmm ... would be afraid to bet on that ....... it's only after the event that people rue the election of left-wing gov'ts as the french found to their cost

Fred1new - 16 Jan 2018 09:55 - 79867 of 81564

Do you mean that the public is celebrating the present neo-con tory government of T Maybe in this country, which is financed and manipulated by individuals from the Cayman Isles and similar exotic tax-havens?

Perhaps, you have been reading the Mail too often.

Clocktower - 16 Jan 2018 11:01 - 79868 of 81564

And you Fred1 must be in the pockets of the Russian Mafia on that basis imo. While I would dearly love to see a huge change in the way wealth and power, (through the legitimized legal powerhouse), rule with puppets like the Royal Family putting pen to paper,to keep the system in place, along with those that suck up to them to obtain gongs of one sort or another, I can see nothing worse than living under a Chinese type of leadership or that of a religious dictatorship.

MaxK - 16 Jan 2018 11:05 - 79869 of 81564

Power to the (left kind) people Clock. Fred's a big time Corby supporter.

Fred1new - 16 Jan 2018 11:10 - 79870 of 81564

Max,

Try and find your glasses.

You don't seem able to see beyond the end of your nose.

VICTIM - 16 Jan 2018 11:13 - 79871 of 81564

Is it possible these centre grounders could/should start getting some backbone and drift into another new party , or am i way off .(don't laugh)

2517GEORGE - 16 Jan 2018 11:14 - 79872 of 81564

From 79869----Fred's a big time Corby supporter.

Until the stockmarket collapses should he get in, then it won't just be CLLN jobs and pensions lost.

Haystack - 16 Jan 2018 11:50 - 79873 of 81564

This could change the NEC. McCluskey facing enquiry over his election. If he loses the seats that the union controls could go back to centrists.
