Sorry Boys, sorry.

I don't think I can make the next meeting as seem to be needing further repair work.

Have had repeated dislocations of replacement hip.

At the next meeting try and keep out of trouble as I won't be present to keep you in order.

Happy New Year all.

See the US is weak again, so it's business as usual.

You might have thought Fred would have had better service............

Fred..... Good Luck with your further repair work ..... At least Network Rail won't be carrying it out..... and hopefully the fire alarm won't go off half way thru....

Do they do extended warranties........?

Fred1new - 03 Jan 2008 15:26 - 805 of 1427

No! They consider me as old redundant stock.

Stan - 04 Jan 2008 16:54 - 806 of 1427

Three of us for personal reasons cannot make next weeks meeting, so regretfully I think that it is best to cancel the meetings until further notice.

Just doing a pre-prandial review of the general situation. Something caught my eye and made me wonder if the good Doctor will be tipping Smith and Nephew in the near future...........

Fred1new - 07 Jan 2008 10:24 - 808 of 1427

55, I think I would prefer to top the surgeon who put it in me.

Actually looking around for a punt and the chart is interesting as is recent news.

But at the moment I think the moon and the sun and a few other things are not in the right orbits for me, (Like my hip). Very difficult market to read. I wish there would be a more defined trend.

55011 - 07 Jan 2008 11:34 - 809 of 1427

Is the jolly old Sale of Goods Act applicable in these circumstances? Litigation - the NHS is hardly a "man of straw"....... Do you know where the said surgeon lives?

Fred1new - 07 Jan 2008 11:56 - 810 of 1427

55, are you still using Self Trade. If so how are you getting on with their new plarform. Just been playing with it and find it bloody confusing,

Will try again.

Mixed feelings. I was cursing it before Christmas due to it being uselessly slow. Also could not get any research data like I used to - not that I used it that much as it was usually too vague.

Currently using Madam's broadband set up and finding the speed is well up to scratch.

Also the trades it does do have developed the nasty habit of losing money!

2008 is going to be rough.

So, did anyone actually invest in Worldspreads itself after the Brum seminar ? ..... The nice rise in its (WSPR) share price since the seminar continued today ....

Might be time to go back to decorating / gardening again..... or an OU course....

The feared recession in the US economy has already arrived, according to a report from Merrill Lynch. It said that Friday's employment report, which sent shares tumbling worldwide, confirmed that the US is in the first month of a recession.

So perhaps gold mines and hard booze companies might continue to do well...?

The last time gold touched $850 an ounce, the world was visibly spiralling out of control....
..... It has tripled since Gordon Brown sold over half Britain's reserves, deeming it a barbarous relic. That conceit has cost taxpayers 3.4bn, after adjusting for returns from dollar, euro, and yen bonds.

Why not relax in our Swagmans Garden, and share a yarn with our resident Swaggie over a beer from our own "Billabong Bar" incorporating the games room

survived87 - 09 Jan 2008 19:43 - 817 of 1427

Fred.... yes, I wondered why you'd posted the Australian thing.....
Don't forget if you've been sleeping in the desert overnight then look in your boot next morning before you put it on - to check no scorpions in it - they can give you a nasty bite (a bit like Market Makers).....

Fred1new - 09 Jan 2008 20:59 - 818 of 1427

Apologies I was thinking of the ostriches on the Jezzer for prime minister thread.

survived87 - 09 Jan 2008 22:30 - 819 of 1427

Evening Fred..... It's the 'medication' that does it......
The ostriches (in form of burgers) are available at the Farmers Market (New Street) next Wednesday.....
