THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Looks more like Gorbachev to me not Gromyko. The difference is Corbyn regards terrorists as friends.

Dil,

JC was elected party leader in Sept 2015.

Since that date, the looney right, neo-cons, and many tories have, including you, have attempted to smear and deride him because of past "contacts and associations" and I "think" many false allegations.

(PS. many forget that Maggies Thatcher and her government were talking to the IRA leadership while lying to the public that they weren't.)

However, since that date, the active membership of the labour party has grown and there has seemingly been acceptance of him and some, perhaps many, of his "policies" by the public.

That, of course, excludes the vociferous "looney deluded self-interested right-wingers".

But much of the above can be put down to diversionary tactics from Brexit by a failing tory cabal in No 10 under a failed leader who hasn't the courage to resign and a bunch of no-hopers who can't replace her.

2517,

You are correct. Thank you. Edited.

They were political opponents, but on "friendly terms".

Chamberlain shook hands with Hitler, my guess is he didn't like him or his policies.

Freda - Did you write the above listening to Mary Hopkiins on your Jim Callaghan Dansette record player (set on repeat) "Those were the days"? Gordon Brown hums it continuously every day. :0)

Haze,

Have you started going to First Aid classes yet?

ExecLine - 16 Feb 2018 13:50 - 80156 of 81564

One of the advantages of having an aged person's leg wound dressed professionally, is that the wound can be inspected by a 'professional' at the same time.

eg. Fluid in the legs in an elderly person can easily cause a wound to become ulcerated. An increase to the wound area or an infection to such a wound can also be 'professionally' noticed - thus necessitating a possible change to the dressing type or drugs required on any prescription. Remarks on what has been observed at the time of the dressing change can also be added to the patient's notes.

Fred1new - 16 Feb 2018 13:56 - 80157 of 81564

Cleansing of the wound area, clean dressing and support stockings or equivalent and common sense.

And Haze is a bright chap and should be aware of secondary infection and how to proceed.

I would have thought he had private insurance to cover such events in order to avoid being a burden on the NHS.

No VIC thanks for asking but having all sorts of problems ,maybe another op on the head at some point .

VICTIM - 16 Feb 2018 15:10 - 80159 of 81564

Well all the best , hope it goes well .

VICTIM - 16 Feb 2018 15:27 - 80160 of 81564

Is it possible Freda has hit new lows , so any relative of ours is not to get any Medical attention no matter how potentially serious , despite being told by the NHS to see your doctor . Now it's OK for any freeloader to turn up with a cold and get treatment , his concern for said people is admirable , that is until he goes to France for his hols when he evades their presence by going on a detour to avoid them .

hilary - 16 Feb 2018 15:36 - 80161 of 81564

I'm all for you seeing a doctor, Vicky. In fact, the sooner you make an appointment, the better.

Maybe he could prescribe a course of Xylophene for the rotten sawdust between your ears?

PS. I know you like to think you can spell, but there's no 'e' in premadonna.

VICTIM - 16 Feb 2018 15:56 - 80162 of 81564

cynic - 16 Feb 2018 16:05 - 80163 of 81564

Haystack - 16 Feb 2018 17:23 - 80164 of 81564

Agent COB was a paid informant of the Czechoslovak secret police according to the agent who claims to have been his handler. Czech TV channel CT24 is reporting:

Fred1new - 16 Feb 2018 18:30 - 80165 of 81564

Is tory central office paying for the script?

cynic - 17 Feb 2018 09:13 - 80166 of 81564

the story (headlines in telegraph this morning) is no more likely to be false than true

if it related to some high-rank tory mp, i'm sure fred would be proclaiming about it from his dacha roof, or failing that, his soapbox in cambridge or wherever he skulks

Haystack - 17 Feb 2018 09:43 - 80167 of 81564
